In a sandwich fish fingers are gold.

Always hated fish fingers, but the Birdseye jumbo battered ones are lush! Often about £2.50 for 6 on yer Clubcard price, too! Lovely.

He's a Casemiro type signing, on the surface it looks inspired. Strengthens them while weakening us. We simply can't offer the package he'll get at Man Utd & probably never will. He will do well, initially.

Having said that, he's going to be difficult to replace, a key cog in our system & an almost guaranteed 8 out of 10 performance week in week out. But we must have some contingency in place for this eventually. I think Manzambi is his direct replacement.

Guaranteed £52m for him.

Answers the question people had about 'why is he going to that shower?'.

It’s funny how many of the sports media outlets suddenly appreciate Youri Tielemans and are speaking about his value and what he brings to Man U. How underrated he is. I don’t recall many of those conversations last season.

Fish fingers?

Thought Mark was warding me off quoting an artist formerly known as Prince song.

Because when he's at Villa the press don't have to titillate half of the Far East, Sussex, Buckinghamshire and so on.

Last season, try last week. Watching the Belgium game he scored twice in, he barely got a mention in between them crawling up the arses of De Bruyne, Doku or Trossard. I actually thought last night how different that would have been had this news come earlier.

If it's true he's been offered a five year contract at £200k a week, at his age, can we really blame him? He's not a Villa fan like us, with the club in his blood. Thanks for the memories, but off you go.

Yep. He was invisible in that game relative to all the mentions of the other notables. I’m sure he will be talked about now.

Like when Brian Moore hyped the recruitment of Stefan Schwarz (See him at Highbury next season) as he signed for Arsenal in World Cup 1994.

A wonderful player for us.

I can't wish him luck there, but he'll always be welcome back as far as I'm concerned.

I think the hole he leaves in the squad is incredibly difficult to fill.

What a brilliantly obscure reference! I liked Brian Moore but he was always gushing over The Arse.
