Screw all this 'wishing him well' nonsense. What is this, tiddlywinks? I was listening to claret and blue this morning and had to switch it off.

He got to play in the champions league with us under a world class manager. He got to win a trophy with us. He no doubt got offered a lucrative contract with us.

Like Yorke, Bosnich etc any villa player going there - especially now- can absolutely get fucked.

Agree. I know it isn't very nice, but I challenge anyone not to be a little big smug if he pulls up in pre season training with a minor injury that keeps him out for a month or two for them. Not wishing it on him, just it is quite natural to not only not give a toss once his gone but to almost wish it to fail as a move.

I'm a miserable bastard and I enjoy a good boo, but I don't think I'll boo Tielemans. I don't think I could bring myself to politely applaud him whilst he's playing for fucking Manchester United, but my feelings towards him are closer to what my feelings were towards Benteke, Luiz, Young etc when they left, rather than Yorke, Bosnich, Downing etc.

Which I imagine will be a great relief to him as he signs his £200k a week contract.

Takes the edge off we've actually won something with him rather than feeling what might have been.

I’ve never booed a former player and I certainly wouldn’t boo Youri. But then I’ve never really enjoyed pantomime either.

I'm going to throw a brick at him when he returns to VP in that shirt. It will destroy my laptop but it will teach him a lesson he won't forget in a hurry.
