Who gives a fuck what they think. It's bizarre how many do and are spending their time enjoying us qualifying for Europe for the first time in yonks by reading another club's forum and then being bitter about them being bitter.

I read other fans forums because I'm interested in what they're thinking and saying about us. I don't think that's unreasonable.

I wish there were more clubs like Brighton at the top. Anyone who does it within their means (relatively speaking given football has seemingly different economics to everywhere else) is good by me. Glad they're getting some reward and long may it continue.

As for the club that should be in the Top 1, yesterday felt so good not simply because it was 7th and the L'eyland DAF*, but because it felt like the end of a decade of shite or the same old shite. It was probably worth going through, even if it didn't feel like it most of the time. This is why I love football.

* In truth, I'm more than happy with the Conference. When we were trying to get past Inter Milan and a referee in 1990/91, no-one was saying Newton Heath should be ashamed of having to face the might of Wrexham. No talk of "third tier" then.
Well said Simon.

Yes please. Was going to check the vlogs later to see if there's any decent coverage of this.

Especially the Small Heath one. It's pure comedy most of the time.

Great day and a brilliant atmosphere. There's nowhere better than Villa Park when it's rocking like that. Re: the Brighton fans the ones we encountered were bang on. For some reason loads of them had parked near the Villa Tavern which was absolutely rocking all day. Some of them had a bit of banter with us outside the pub which takes some cahones when there's hordes of pissed up Villa fans outside!! Great day all round.

Parked up that way and crossing the Lichfield road and wondered where the singing was coming from

Before the game there was a load of Belfast Villa outside where they have put up a marquee. It was mostly them doing all the singing. Top lads.

What a brilliant day yesterday was.  Really special to be there.

A huge well done to everyone involved in the club - the players, many of who had been written off (including by me), the staff, the fans, and Emery.  Emery feels like the missing piece in the jigsaw and it was great to see him, Wes and Nas walking around at the end.  I love the way that the message coming for Unai was, this is just the start.

So many highlights, but the last 2 minutes of stoppage time, when the whole stadium rose as one to help get the result over the line is something I think I'll never forget.

Other highlights were the pre-match display in the holte, dougie signing to the holte when brigton's first goal was disallowed and the HEITS tribute.

Thought we saw everything about Villa at its best yesterday - and it's been a long time since we could say that.   Just very grateful to have seen it!

UTV

Agree with the all of the above. Never before seen/heard the Upper Trinity like it was in the last !0 mins yesterday.

Been to a few home games since Christmas inc. N'castle and Spurs, but thought this would either be a dead rubber or tense nervy affair. So didn't get a claret ticket when I had the chance.

Regretted it the last few days. So was dipping into ticket site every now and again. A few resale tickets popped up, but were snapped up lightning fast. Then whilst still sitting in my gym kit at home in Maidstone, 11-15am yesterday (Sun)
morning, shopping for tumble dryer parts, refreshed site for about the 5th time in the morning, and managed to land what must have been one of the last tickets sold. Not back home until gone 2.00 am after a curry. Brilliant day out. One of the best.

I think this “other clubs forums” thing is the single most pointless argument I’ve seen here in years.

First time I've looked at the table today and realised if we hadn't won we would have finished 9th. What an important win that was. Well done all.

Look again. We were just 5 points off 5th place. Liverpool have a lot to thank Slippy Gee for this season. Nine points off 4th..

The one, and possibly only, game of this season that really annoys me is the Boxing Day loss to Liverpool. They were there for the taking that night.

Objectively, if you're Brighton and you stumble across even this forum (let alone if you set your affairs in order and decide to brave a slink through VT), you're going to find a lot of stuff you regard as unwarranted and quite inexplicable aggro. Then, when you meet said Villa aggro-doer in real life, they'll probably be really nice about Brighton. I suggest we take all other forums and their posts and their posters in like fashion.

6 and 10. We are Aston Villa, not Toney's Brighton.
