A wonderful day, great atmosphere & over the past 6 months we've earned our place in Europe. As Unai said, this is the first step.

Thought we were comfortable in the 2nd half even if it was a bit nervous to watch.

Our midfield were superb & Ramsey was unplayable in the first half.

Unai is entitled to tomorrow off before he starts the next phase.

The man is a genius...he's the second coming of Sir Ron.  He is Saint Unai

Unai is already creating a comprehensive dossier on FC Urartu just in case we play them rather than relaxing tonight.

Just home after a shit journey on the M5. What an atmosphere, Villa Park you were magnificent.

Jacob Ramsey is going to be better than Joe.
Dougie was magnificent.
Everyone was magnificent.

Thanks Villa.

I've never had an easier drive home. 5 minutes to get back to the M6, then no hold ups whatsoever on the way home, even through the road works. Just a brilliant day from start to finish.

Got to chat to Steve Staunton at the game too.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game, atmosphere was great from before kick off.

Douglas, McGinn, Ramsey and Kamara (who tired late on) were immense.

Loved the reactions for Steer & Mellberg

Lap of honour not just appreciation this year

That referee, borderline incompetent, not biased because he was bloody awful for both sides

One look at the Brighton forum, salty much :-) ok they’ve had their greatest season and lots of smoke blown up their asses but some of their comments are comedy, apparently we play filthy, cheating football.  They don’t seem to comprehend that they are target number one for clubs to pick off their better players…Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea even Spurs will all be sniffing round & eventually the conveyor fails and you hit the abyss.

Apologies in advance as I seem to have become rather more refreshed than I’d planned to. I didn’t think I was that arsed about qualifying for that league but I was as nervous as anything for most of the game. As were the players it seemed.

Loved the day out in the sun, everyone seemed to be wearing colours, even me. Loved the atmosphere and especially, that huge gutteral roar from the whole crowd a few minutes from time. Just like at Wembley against Liverpool. Made what’s left of my hair stand on end.

They were really good, excellent, has there been a better opp side at VP this season?

But not quite good enough.

Started off well, M6 northbound in 5 minutes but then a car fire north of Gloucester closed the M5 for about 45 minutes whilst the traffic wombles swept up. Didn’t detract from a fab day.

Great day. Got back to Cumbria to Mother in Laws in record time. Thanks to all those who will still there half an hour after the end! Unbelievable noise. Even Trinity Upper all on feet in last couple of minutes. Referee crap - that's from my daughter! Just watching highlights now on MOTD

Unai introduced a new way. The players committed to it, and we have our just desserts.

I went today knowing we had had a far better season than any of us expected by the end of last October. I would have been happy with that.
But here’s the difference from previous false dawns.
This manager is a winner and now he has a club where he can achieve his ambitions and dreams.
This is such a perfect match let the good times roll 👍

Today meant something. Felt like another sliding doors moment and we’ve managed to get our foot in the door, it was right up there with 2019. We’re back.

I've drank a bottle of wine since getting home so this might not be as coherent as I would like but I'll try anyway. I'm not a week in, week out attendee like a lot on here due to location and finances but I was lucky enough to have tickets to our last three matches. Every single one, we could have blown it but every single one we came up trumps. Honestly, this is better than the 10 match run in the promotion season. Fucking brilliant. I love you Villa

Was reading a Brighton forum. They really don't like us our players... a bit rich considering they are a mere footnote in the game compared to us.

Gutted.

Maybe they'll like some of the opposition players when they're in League One in 2026/7.
