For the new badge; forget the center bit and just use the regal outline.  It looks a little bit demonic and quite close to Risso's lad's version from years ago. Also, it's a little nod to the Ozzy Bull in New Street Station.

It's quite amusing to think of the reaction of our 'rivals' flicking through the paper and seeing that ad.
Will they all have to stop buying Adidas now, like they did with Muller yoghurts?
Great to think how much this will wind them up.
Been wondering for years what an Adidas Villa shirt will be like.
Looking forward to seeing some of the training gear too.

I explained to a few of the drongos when we were sponsored by Luke that by wearing Luke branded clothing (as a lot of them loved to do) that every purchase put money our way.

The realisation, after a period of time to digest what they had been told, was a picture to see

I’m sure I read that one of them got rid of all his Luke gear when we had our Luke shirts.
Words to the effect ‘I’d rather dump it than wear their gear’

Yes, but Nike have nothing to do with them.

They have a deal with a kit supplier who just happens to be a Nike reseller. That company basically buys off the shelf kit and supplies and applies a team’s badge and sponsorship stuff to it.

Not sure if this was mentioned in another thread, apologies if repeated.

One of the unfortunate consequences of moving away from Fanatics is that the retail staff, who were employed by Fanatics, were told they were all being made redundant yesterday.

They now effectively have to reapply for there jobs.

Never an easy situation to be in and kudos to the retail team last night for being so professional.

That's a shame... and I guess even if they get rehired by Villa directly, they're going to be income less until the new club shop is operational post-summer.... Unless they're all in temp space sending out mail orders over the summer of course!

Hopefully, they can all transfer across and any redundancy pay can cover the shortfall.

Not a nice situation to be in, but I hope that they get taken on again quickly.

All depends what contract etc they are on, and how long they've worked there, but I'd have thought TUPE would apply.
