It's not exactly a tease is it? More like an actual announcement in of itself.

I think it's doing precisely what it's supposed to do, which is get people talking about Villa and Adidas before the kit is revealed.  The moment the kit is revealed the discussion - particularly amongst Villa fans - will be dominated by the kit itself; what they like, the bits they hate, the badge being too big, no long sleeve option, wrong shade of claret, and so on and so on and so on.

But right now, there is none of that. It is just Aston Villa, and Adidas. There is perfect clarity over that pending relationship.

Maybe we're changing our name to Adidas Villa

My instinct is that it feels big time and modern. I don't necessarily like all that that entails, but I think it does feel like that. It feels like it would look pretty good away at the nou Camp Nou.

I can see why they didn't do this with Castore... the wall would be falling down by the weekend.

Would definitely have needed a damp-proof course.

They'd have used water based paints.

It's quite amusing to think of the reaction of our 'rivals' flicking through the paper and seeing that ad.
Will they all have to stop buying Adidas now, like they did with Muller yoghurts?
Great to think how much this will wind them up.
Been wondering for years what an Adidas Villa shirt will be like.
Looking forward to seeing some of the training gear too.

You'll now when you start to see people wandering around in their pants as their sole pair of strides are now off limits.

If Hi-Tec ever sponsor us Wolverhampton would look like something from the dawn of man. Well more like that anyway.

I love the nod to our heritage with the stained glass window effect graphic...

It's not exactly a tease is it? More like an actual announcement in of itself.

In marketing, advertising, branding, etc, it is known as a 'teaser campaign'.

For years we've probably been selling shirts to the same people year after year. It's great to see them targeting the wider market and potential fans.
Assuming the design isn't an absolute mess I'm pretty sure I'll be getting a shirt for the first time in a while.

I explained to a few of the drongos when we were sponsored by Luke that by wearing Luke branded clothing (as a lot of them loved to do) that every purchase put money our way.

The realisation, after a period of time to digest what they had been told, was a picture to see

I have to admit I didn't buy any Triton showers whilst they were sponsoring them. Of course I didn't actually buy any showers during that time period......

Let's just hope that the shirts are on sale before September, and kids kits don't sell out just before Christmas.

Most excited I've been for a kit release since I was a kid!
