Neither do I (believe he’s either brave or stupid), and that’s why I can’t/don’t believe he’d approve a claret and yellow kit.

His first decisions within days of his appo9ntment was to get rid of the round badge and apparently pave the way for a return of Lerner yellow

I know the badge is a sensitive issue but he’s hardly changed it to something that doesn’t have a lion or is a completely different colour or not something we had in our history. Doug did way worse when he was chairman including not even having a badge at one point.

I actually think claret and gold (rather than yellow) would work very well for the training/casual wear. As we’ve seen in the crest knock ups, the colour combination works and can look quite prestigious.

And we had a very popular all claret kit made a fan. If Heck had been involved he’d have been hammered for it.

I disagree. Firstly you can’t claim that reaction would actually happen, and secondly that we’ve had all claret kits (ie no blue arms) many times over the years, and all claret is a far step from changing one of our primary colours. As far as I’m aware we’ve never had a claret and yellow kit which is more akin to Roma.

It's not really the people creating them that's the problem, it's people having hysterical reactions to anything that hasn't come from an official source that need a day off.

Im not doing that. Im not even crucifying him. I actually said he wasn't stupid.

But I stand by the other things I have said.

He clearly does not give two fucks about what the fans think or our heritage & tradition, & I base that on him coming into the club & within five minutes changing the new crest we had created (because the previous one was shit colours), & ignoring the fans consultation that is needed for things such as crest changes, which is there to protect the heritage & tradition of a clubs assets, & coming up with an absolute monstrosity that goes back to the previous crests shit colours.

Gold, no issue. The issue is a pale yellow on blue which means the lion is barely visible!

The current round badge is shit…and that solely comes down to the lion facing the “wrong” way. We are programmed to read left to right, so it will always look wrong no matter what bullshit spin they put on it.

Claret with gold/yellow isn’t a bad colour combination…but they aren’t our colours and therefore don’t belong on a Villa kit. Training gear would be fine, but not the actual kit. It’s as simple as that.
