I don't think the line was any higher than usual but Rashford's pace made it look like that.

Will be interesting how high we attempt it at Anfield. Once Spurs actually realised there was a football match going on they actually pressed Spurs in good areas and made them look average for large parts today.

I thought we were rubbish in the first half, a lot better in the second

Just finished watching the game and thought our midfield were the root cause of the problems today. Buendia was especially bad - he seemed to give the ball away every time he got it.

Could/should have mugged them for a point at the end. We go again...

Very close game decided on the tightest of margins. Thought we controlled the game well. But when it mattered, the quality and decisiveness weren’t quite there. And Buendia was crap today. Absolutely crap.

It’s been a great run and we’ve pretty much done all that could be expected at this stage.

All about opinions, and it has been a brilliant run and is not defined by one ropey day, but we in no way controlled the game.

Apart from a few moments of quality, I think buendia has been mostly poor. His ball retention is shocking and constantly losing 50/50s before throwing himself to the floor and gesticulating wildly is really fucking grating. Move him on

Pretty much sums it up. We had three simple chances to score today, we fluffed all of them.

They were reduced to playing balls in behind constantly. That was the only weapon they had. We caught them offside constantly to their frustration and they had little other threat. On that side, I think Emery will be happy. It was further forwards with decision making and ball retention where we fell down. At the end they were hanging on. I think they’ve lost one game at home all season. I thought we controlled the game.

Donk is fine as a stand in for a couple of games, but we don’t half miss kamara’s dynamism, particularly when luiz is well marked. 8 points from our next 4 games will give us a chance.

Thought the Donk was worryingly poor today. No impact.

Spurs, like Manure, are another team that will give you plenty of chances if you press them from the front. It wasn’t rocket science that we needed to do that today but, only started that a bit in the second half. Don’t be fooled by Wolves result yesterday, they will be a tough nut to crack.

Enjoyed the day out today result apart. Just feels like we’re expecting things to happen automatically now rather than putting the hard yards in to give us opportunities to make things happen. Still, been a super last few months. Onwards and upwards.

Considering they had fewer days rest they looked much sharper when it mattered. We need our injured recruits back to freshen it up. When we’re 1-0 down with 5 minutes remaining, pissing around at the back with the ball is mot what we should be doing.
