I'm saying it now Emery has to be one of the top 3 managers in the world. It's one thing being Pep always managing the very best teams/players to win trophies and having immense sums to continuously improve. Quite another to take a rag tag pretty much relegation guaranteed group, low on confidence, belief, morale and in a matter of months make us legitimately CL qualification contenders. It's beyond a miracle that we are watching.

Do you think there is any chance Spurs or Chelsea try to lure him away?

No

Thank you mate ❤️

There's always a chance. But he's not achieved anything with us yet. He doesn't strike me as a coach who likes to leave a project unfulfilled.

Fantastic, I worried that they had a stronger bench than us and may make this count. But we were so much better than them it was unreal. Its a very strange feeling watching Villa at the moment.

I reckon the Chelsea model of signing endless players for massive money is not something Emery would want. He wants a group of players and to just drill into them how to play, not have 40 players meandering around.

Great win would have taken a draw, what a signing Moreno has been , what must S G think of our current form?

Faultless performance, could have been 6 or 7 and they couldn't have complained.  Well they could, they always do, but you know what I mean.

It's weird going into the rest of the season, looking through the remaining 7 or 8 games, and just not fearing anyone.  Man U or Liverpool away?  Fuck that, we'll have them as well.

Howe's subs and tactical adjustments were flat out terrible. They were unbalanced for the last 30 minutes and we exposed them.. could've easily been 5-0 or more.

Watkins will rightly get the plaudits but the midfield was awesome. Donk with his first league start in however long allowed the others to play, Doug got on the ball and dictated the tempo and McGinn, Ramsey and Buendia gave the energy and running to support Ollie. Defence also superb, fantastic team performance.

What a performance, I think must of us would have been happy with a draw before kick off.
3-0 flatters Newcastle it could easily have been 6- 0.

So pleased. What a wonderful time to be a Villa fan. The younger generation are finally going to see what the club is capable of.

Unai Emery’s Aston Villa, the gift that keeps on giving.

Martinez 9
Young 8
Konsa 8
Mings 9
Moreno 9
Luiz 8
Dendonkar 8
McGinn 8k
Ramsey 9
Buendia 8
Watkins 11
Unai 12

Tens all round from me! In 45 years of following the Villa we’ve rarely played better than today. Wow.

In the first 3 games of February, we shipped 10 goals in 3 games.

Since then, we have played 8 games and conceded 2 goals. One of which was a penalty.

That is one hell of an achievement. What the hell changed in our defence in that time??? Did Unai spot a weakness and coach it out of them? Seriously impressive if you consider who we’ve played in that time.
