I agree that Barnes’ goal was very good but Olly’s was equally impressive for me. Great first touch then held off two defenders trying to shove him off the ball before poking it past the keeper before had time to set. He’s absolutely on fire at the moment.

You can see the confidence growing in all of them, they look so much more comfortable stoking the ball around now. Saturday can’t come quickly enough for me to see us complete an East Midlands double.

Is anyone else still looking at the bottom 3 and doing the maths as to whether we are safe yet? Bournemouth can get to 54 ("playing against each other they both cant win" is too complicated).

No just me then.

sadly the leagues gone as well.... :(

I didn't think last night was one of our better performances to be honest, at least until the sending off which obviously changed things massively. We seemed a bit pedestrian and our passing lacked a bit of zip and imagination. Bailey was anonymous and Buendia and and Ramsey have had better games recently. But what a lovely habit to be in of just finding ways to win games, week after week.

I think we seem to raise our game and look more impressive, the better the opposition.

Against the dross we tend to look less convincing. Maybe it's because we don't really need to be at our best.

I dunno, though, end of the day, like you said, who cares, good teams still win whilst not being at their best and we're doing that, happy days.

It looked they were happy with a draw and trying to nick anything extra. To be honest, their survival isn't going to come down to games against the Big 6/7 like us :) it'll be the results against the rest of the bottom feeders that define their season.

Last game of season Brighton home, could be a fight for a Europa League spot or even a CL spot!

[IMHO, our immediate concern should be the right. The only good thing Bailey is doing at the moment is hugging the touchline, therefore stretching play and creating more space on the left for the above to operate. We are a Mahrez, Salah, Saka quality player away from competing for the Champions League spots next season. Be great if Traore steps up but probably not consistent enough. For now, save our money for sorting out the issues on the right.

Agree with all of this, we need another quality right-back in particular.

Nope once we beat Palace I knew we'd be safe.

RB is a must, as a 2nd keeper. Not sure if Carlos is the real deal so may need another CB. And we need a bit more in midfield too.
It isn't wholesale changes just 2-3 first teamers and same for squad/back up. If we get into Europe a little more

One thing I've noticed is the team spirit.  I feel this is the best we've had since 1980/82.  We've had some good sides between now and then but the togetherness of this bunch is outstanding.  Ref: Bertrand Traore last night.

See Konza giving it the full 'David Platt fingers' whilst chasing after Bert

Leicester deserve to go down just for Kasabian.

Forest - Paperlace.

Oooh if it comes to underperforming cities and good music

Leeds Nottingham Leicester must be in the mix. Piss poor compared to most of us.
TBF Leeds had/has The Mekons, Gang of Four, Delta 5 and Soft Cell, so not too shabby.
+ The Bridewell Taxis

I’d love to see an exhaustive list but that seems incredibly threadbare compared to Brummagem. Then again, where isn’t?

The Three Johns
Scritti Politti
Red Lorry Yellow Lorry
The Wedding Present
CUD
LFO
Nightmares on Wax
Age of Chance
Eagulls

Then in the negative column..

The Sisters of Mercy
The Mission
Kaiser Chiefs - Chris Jameson's favourite band
The Parachute Men
Chumbawamba
Alt-J

Not bad for a rugby league town.

Indeed Dave, even Bailey was going beserk at the final whistle.

I loved that clip of Martinez giving Traore a piggy back and them all singing his name with the supporters, just fantastic togetherness. On the march!!

It smacks of that run to the play offs when we feared no one, found a way to win game after game and the whole club seemed as one.

Exactly! Momentum feels like everything sometimes. If we beat Forest on Saturday, Newcastle the week after feels pivotal.
