Harvey Barnes has scored one less goal than our top scorer, but apparently he isn't good enough for us? He got 10 assists last season in 32 matches which equals the same amount Joe ever got for us. Whenever he hasn't scored much his assist stats have rocketed and vice versa for assists.

I have him (and Iheanacho) to score against us every single time. Barnes is like that annoying fucker Muzzy Izzet who you just knew would conjure up some brilliance against us.

Not the best we’ve played but in the winning groove at the moment so happy days.
As for Barnes he is a superb player and would suit the way we play. Works hard defensively and excellent going forward.
Watched the game in a sports bar in New York today and in walks Jonathon Kodjia with his Mrs. What a nice bloke, think he was as surprised that anyone recognised him as I was that he was there.

TV I respect your opinion but turning Barnes into reincarnation of Johan Cruyff is a bit OTT.

He’s exactly the sort of player who would improve us. We need pace up top and he has it. Chips in with a fair few goals too.

Sign Harvey Barnes! Such great pace.
No. Despite his cameo tonight against an old man he is not consistent enough, he’s is good but not great, he’s not quite top international player so not better than likes of Bert and on his day Bailey.
And don’t forget his lack of contribution is part of the reason why Leicester are in serious trouble.

Harvey Barnes is MILES better than Bailey, it's not even close.
Hang on, let me assess this. Bailey plays regularly for a team heading up the table. Barnes plays for a team that's heading for the second division and he has played his part in that. I think answer is clear.

Yes, because that’s how football works. Bloody hell.

Bertie T…that’s why I love him, flaws and all because he can do something like that and win a match. Always worth keeping around.

Couldn’t believe how the Ref gave the pen, what was he seeing? Thankfully VAR was able to do its job properly for once.  And, our first going to VAR for potential offside, what was that all about?

Other than that, it was a harder than it should have been victory. We need to follow up the form with a convincing win on Saturday and then we’ll be ready for the Sportwashers.

It was interesting to see them sit off us. As we get better we’ll see it more and more and have to be able to play as the dominate team. We got the job done which is something but the speed in the passing needs to be quicker.

That take by Barnes was incredible. In the light of day and with the 3 points in the bag, I can watch it and actually admire it. I’d love to sign him.

The first touch to get the ball under control like that at speed was outstanding.

Wasn’t it just. I didn’t appreciate it last night, I thought here we go again. He always shines against us but his stats are very good so I presume he’s always decent.

This may have been said elsewhere, but Barnes has scored 10 goals from the wing this season in a really struggling side. I’d suggest his contribution is the only reason they are not already dead and buried.
Not taking anything away from Bertie T, i love the madness, but I’ve always thought  Barnes is a terrific player and better than what we have. Unai, will no doubt have his own ideas.

David Platt played in teams that were nearly relegated twice. The second time for a side that only won 9 games. And then moved for a massive fee. And was relegated. I don't think anyone doubts how good Platt was at that time depite the teams  he played for being shit a lot of the time.

Presumably nobody thinks that Lloris is better than Emi either, despite playing for the team who are 4th in the table.

I think we should tone it down a bit on Bailey. He's part of a team that's beating all comers. If Emery keeps picking him and we keep winning then what's the problem?
He's not very good?!
Seriously, although he didn't get as much of the ball as he probably should have had last night, his contribution was zilch.

Shout out for Konsa last night: I thought he distributed the ball pretty well for the most part.
