What an absolute fantastic win and performance on so many levels.

All week spent counting down to the game just absolutely knew we’d get a result.

In the morning Mrs Remy decided to prank me by saying Unai had resigned and I fell for it !

We haven’t beaten these scumbags for years at their place. Well deserved.
Groaned when Olilie missed his first chance but he showed iron composure to lob the keeper.

McGinn and Mingus were immense. That twat Chilwell - what a shit journeyman overpaid muppett thinks he’s Lampard. Laughed hard when his cheating goal got chalked off like his FA cup final non goal.

Unai kicked every ball. Subs were great.

That McGinn strike arrowed into the net and cue the entire Remy family jumping round the living room certain we’d won despite 35-40 mins still to play. Wouldn’t have done that in the past.

Away noise coming from the tv was amazing.

Hinchcliff on the commentary pulling his withered cock over 2 chavski passes then groaning when Mings or Konsa cut it out.

Potter will be relieved of his duties shortly.

We didn’t do ourselves justice vs Foxes I hope this is put right Tuesday - can’t wait!!!!

Love my club. Now in its glorious 37th year!

Ah um.

Typo promise ! Mings - absolutely love the guy. Fondest memory is not giving Zaha an inch in the Palace game.

Sorry, it was a very obscure pun based on an album by Charles Mingus.

A bizarre appointment in the first place.

Not so bizarre on it's own, but then to follow up with the spending spree was nuts, he was never the kind of manager to manage that.

Which is kind of what I meant, to go from the big names to Potter was also just an incredibly odd change of habit. It’s also cost the mugs over £60 million in compensation payments, £21 million to Brighton and £40 million to Potter. Ludicrous amounts of money.

At one point, Hinchcliffe seemed genuinely angry at Dougie for moaning about the ref not giving us a drop ball after the ball hit him (as per the rules).

The ref made a mistake, and that utter wankspanner Hinchcliffe made up his own rule that because the ball ricocheted back to Dougie, he should stop moaning. Here are the actual rules from IFAB:

"A player (Team A) plays the ball which then touches the referee (outside the penalty area), remains on the field of play and, as a result, Team A starts a promising attack. What is the referee’s decision?

Play is stopped, the referee drops the ball for one player of Team A at the position where the ball touched the referee."

It makes no difference if the ball goes back to the team that last kicked it before it touched the ref. In anycase, the ball bounced back to Luiz in a way he obviously wasn't expecting, so it's not at all like it was positive for us.

Thanks for the explananation Risso as this was what I thought yesterday. The referee got in the way of an attacking pass from Dougie, the fact it bounced back to him ( awkwardly) should not make any difference and a drop ball taken where the referee obstructed the ball should be taken. If you are going to make a ‘career’ out of punditry then I suggest Hinchliffe  you do some homework around the prevalent rules of the game.

Controversial opinion here but I watched the whole game back on Sunday morning and thought Hinchcliff was measured and fair
Yeah he didn’t get it all right no one does, but he was better than most for me

Yes I agree. Although occasionally I find Hinchcliffe irritating I do think he is normally pretty fair and measured, better than most co-commentators (he did p%ss me off with the drop ball thing though). I'm sure it was him who, when we were in the Championship, was usually very complimentary towards us.

Me and the mrs were absolutely going mad at that, and when they said about the ball going back to him I thought that's fucking news to me, although it sounded plausibly stupid enough to be true these days.

There was a called on 606 who said "losing TO THE LIKES OF ASTON VILLA is totally unacceptable".... I'll just leave that there.

I't feel like the Chelsea board and media almost felt the same way, almost well that's the last straw loosing to Villa. I quite like our currently flying under the radar and that no one has really watched us or comments on how we are playing in any in-depth way.

In reality I felt we went to Chelsea full of confidence expecting to win and at worst come away with a draw. Chelsea had a few moments but we have that different mentality now, one where we don't collapse from a 2-0 winning position.

I’d never heard of this clause in the rule either, it stunk of making it up as you go along. Overall though I thought the ref was unusually fair and had a decent game. Many referees would have given the disallowed goal because, well, it’s Stamford Bridge isn’t it.

It was another example of inconsistency. Like non-penalty for handball vs Bournemouth and the couple of trips on Ramsey, which were as soft as the one Bailey gave away or the one Ratboy won vs man city.

Just got back, waiting to watch it on MOTD. The best away atmosphere I’ve seen for a long time. Fantastic support.

Is that the Guinness talking?  ;)

Yes. Still true though….
