Not the first Chelsea manager to be sacked after losing to us, won't be the last either.
That's what I thought but I don't recall who it was. We have a history of getting managers the sack after beating their team. I think there was a Spurs manager as well who got sacked after we won there. I mean how can their club lose to little old Aston Villa?

Wasn't it Morinho, when DE bade good day to Abramovich?

A bizarre appointment in the first place.

Not so bizarre on it's own, but then to follow up with the spending spree was nuts, he was never the kind of manager to manage that.

Basket case of a club. Potter is a great manager but he should have known better than to take that one - his time would have come. Proof if it were ever needed that money alone does not buy success - it helps but has to come with a strategy, a world class manager, a master plan, and common sense. Chelsea in last year had none of that.

Half a billion - wow - what a cluster fuck.

Chelsea's problems go far deeper than Potter I think. This shitshow will go on, hopefully.

Potter strikes me as a manager more along the lines of Emery, in that he likes to work to the strengths of his players, bring players in to fit his plan and so on rather than sign a mass of players and then try and work out what to do with them. It seems strange that they hired him on that basis it seemed at the time as they talked long term, and then did the sign loads of players stuff.

That said, since they turned up and wiped the floor with us at VP his league record is W4 D7 L8. Over a season that's 38 points, it's hard for any manager to survive that these days.

He's a great man for the xG wins, Potter, but it's noticeable how under De Zerbi, Brighton have learned to tuck away the chances that their possession and approach play have created since Potter was there.

Daily Mail running a ‘Villa fan makes racist gesture’ story.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11929595/Aston-Villa-fan-filmed-allegedly-making-monkey-gesture-Chelsea-fan.html

They’re claiming that’s racist? Fuckin hell I’ve seen it all now.

He must've been looking for trouble, turning up with his face pixelated like that.

What an absolute fantastic win and performance on so many levels.

All week spent counting down to the game just absolutely knew we’d get a result.

In the morning Mrs Remy decided to prank me by saying Unai had resigned and I fell for it !

We haven’t beaten these scumbags for years at their place. Well deserved.
Groaned when Olilie missed his first chance but he showed iron composure to lob the keeper.

McGinn and Mingus were immense. That twat Chilwell - what a shit journeyman overpaid muppett thinks he’s Lampard. Laughed hard when his cheating goal got chalked off like his FA cup final non goal.

Unai kicked every ball. Subs were great.

That McGinn strike arrowed into the net and cue the entire Remy family jumping round the living room certain we’d won despite 35-40 mins still to play. Wouldn’t have done that in the past.

Away noise coming from the tv was amazing.

Hinchcliff on the commentary pulling his withered cock over 2 chavski passes then groaning when Mings or Konsa cut it out.

Potter will be relieved of his duties shortly.

We didn’t do ourselves justice vs Foxes I hope this is put right Tuesday - can’t wait!!!!

Love my club. Now in its glorious 37th year!

Ah um.

Typo promise ! Mings - absolutely love the guy. Fondest memory is not giving Zaha an inch in the Palace game.

I noticed that when they showed McGinn celebrating in front of the Villa after his goal, that a few of our lot were more interested in recording the moment on their phones, rather than leaping around.

It's the modern way innit. Miss out on the spontaneous enjoyment of an occasion so you can make a video on your phone that you'll almost certainly never watch again.
