Not the worst idea I've heard, especially with Bert seemingly made of blamcmange and out injured again.

I know that he and Bailey are similar, I'd just say that AEG can finish too, and will cause problems for defences.

I'm not sure AEG has anywhere near the quality we need.  But he would be great if any games ever go to pens.

I know what you mean, perhaps I'm just desperate for Moreno and Ramsey to be back and am clutching at straws.

I would pick AEG over Bert and Bailey every time.

Absence does make the heart grow fonder.  The truth is, mostly he was a bit shit.

I said ages ago AEG is the sort of player I think would thrive under Unai. I'd take him until the end of the season on a free.

I’d agree, like Bailey would go missing for huge portions of games…Bailey is capable of going past defenders though.

Will always love AEG for his Wembley goal but I fully remember him bottling the finish during lockdown against Everton(?) and also spending lots of that season moaning about AEG & Trez not being PL standard.

I know Bailey is frustratingly inconsistent, and I wouldn't exactly be heartbroken if we moved him on in the near future, but he's a level above El Ghazi.

Had to go back a page to make sure these weren't three year old posts.

Bring back El Ghazi, have people had a collective mental breakdown? Christ almighty, who next, Carles Gil?

Barry Bannan would do well under Unai I reckon. Also Benito Carbone might link up well with his compatriot Zaniolo.

Unai would just have to tell him to shoot straight at the keeper and we'd have a 25 goal a season attacker.

Dean Saunders would be ideal too.  Can hold the ball up, has good movement and knows where the net is - or at least the post.

If we're talking washing machines, dishwashers or fridges I'm with you all the way. That said I've never heard of Bert domestic appliances.
