I hope he gets booted in the face continuously as he sails on a small boat to China.  Or Saudi. He's just the sort of turncoat who'd bleat about moderately progressive causes and end up there, taking the filthy lucre.

That is very harsh on AV84 he admitted he had got carried away.

Not sure where to put this - but I wish that Southgate would get the boat - Nekieah ahead of Watkins, no Konsa.

Philips, the retired Henderson, and Maguire all in.

we no Ramsey if fit wouldn't have been in there

Hes just a joke

"Get the boat" is an expression I haven't heard in about 20 years!

They say it a lot in the Isle of Man. If you criticise any element of life over there you're told to "get the boat" or "there's a boat back in the morning."

We used to use it like how you'd tell someone to f**k off if they were saying something stupid or annoying, or that you disagreed with, but in a friendly kind of way. No idea where we were telling people to get the boat to.

As easy as it was, think tonight highlighted where we are short.  Olsen is a disaster waiting to happen and seemingly can't go through a game without making a howler of some sort.  We need Moreno to come back ASAP as we are heavily reliant on Digne at the moment, who himself is quite injury prone.  I like Duran and he has some promise, but we are going to be struggling if we are going to be relying on him to replace Watkins for a period if Ollie is out.

It wouldn't be so bad, but our luck with injuries in recent years is generally rotten and you just know it's going to happen at some point.  I don't want to get carried away, but Manchester City aside, I think we can probably compete with the others, but a significant injury to Martinez or Watkins will hamper us so badly.

If Watkins was long term injured I think Emery would probably have a game plan to manage his absence. But if Martinez was out and we were relying on Olsen for a long period of time, I'm not sure what possible game plan could save us there. I suppose against maybe 75% of teams it would just be "score one more than we concede".

A Brighton-supporting mate just texted me to say BHA are on the verge of signing Fati on loan from Barca [sadface].

So he’s played 135 minutes of this Euro tie and not conceded a goal but you still find a reason to criticise Olsen?

Couple of decent saves and a clean sheet but you can't say he didn't give you a couple of clenching moments. If he was to play sat, 10, on the spin it would worry me. I read we have 11 games in 5 weeks at one point before Christmas, so the squad is going to get thoroughly tested. If Coutinho is to go, we need a fit and suitable forward in.

Re Olsen. He made a couple of good saves, but also a couple of fumbles.

Fabrizio Romano
@FabrizioRomano

Al Duhail are now closing in on Philippe Coutinho deal! Final details to be sorted later today with Aston Villa then here we go 🟣🔵🇶🇦 #AVFC

Qatari side agreed personal terms with Coutinho one week ago, he didn’t listen to Betis/Besiktas.

Details being ironed out. #DeadlineDay

I wonder how much we'll get in transfer fee bearing in mind that anything over 17 million we have to go 50/50 with Barcelona..

With Coutinho going we’re definitely light in attack.

I watched Aberdeen v Hacken last night, and Hacken had a forward, Ibrahim Sadiq, who (allowing for the opposition) looked a terrific player, scored two and got scythed down for the penalty from which Hacken scored their third. He confirmed after the game that he is about to sign for AZ Alkmar. Wish he was coming to us.
