What’s Tammy Abrahams injury status? I wonder if we’re not seeing value right now and going to wait until the next window to revisit him as an option.

I don't get this with Abrahams. He had one good season with us in the Championship, and I'm not saying he's a bad player. However, he's not particularly quick, not particularly mobile, not particularly strong, and his hold up play is poor.

Is it that people actually want to sign him or are they just making assumptions based off the fact we had apparently been planing on buying him this summer. Meaning Uni wants him, so it's possible he will go back in for him in January.

Didn't Tony Daley nearly join Udinese from us?

Good memory, sir.

Great line in that article: Ellis has been 'deprived of his Daley bread'.

Personally I’m just filling in time trying to put together pieces to see how they fit: We apparently were in for him. Emery mentioned he wanted more competition. We’ve sold a forward.  We haven’t signed one (setting aside whether Diaby or Zaniolo count).

I don’t think Abraham is the messiah…

I think the bit about us wanting a striker there aren’t a huge amount about when you consider that Man United paid 70m for the lad from Atalanta.

Who would we consider realistic targets?

I liked the look of the Sevilla guy in Super Cup
Get involved in the deal for Ekiteke?

I was thinking about Youssef En-Nesyri too. He would provide something different - very good in the air.

The question about a striker is really difficult because we don't know how he wants to use Zaniolo. If Emery thinks him and Diaby can play together then I think we've probably got enough with Watkins, Duran, Diaby, Zaniolo and Coutinho (and Bert and Bailey at a push) for those 2 spots. If Coutinho does leave then he'll need to be replaced but, as I've said a few times, I think we're holding off on confirming him going until we know it won't leave us short.

It's a bit crazy that the Saudi window closes after ours so clubs could lose key players without the opportunity to replace.

This I don't understand.

The FA should rule the transfer window shut and be done with it. No further movement from English based players after the 31st of August.

If no new strikers are incoming in this window, I'd have kept Keinan as back-up, at least until January. The forward options are too short, especially with any injuries that may occur. Hopefully there maybe a new striker signed, even a loan option.

But we don’t play with a hold up striker.  Our game is now in behind with pace and that’s not Kienan

What about if the clubs want to sell them?

“🚨EXCL: Unidese have reached an agreement in principle with Aston Villa to sign Keinan Davis✅ “

Great move Keinan!

“The player will travel to Italy in the next 24-48 hours to complete medical!”

Oh well, never mind.

Unidese?

Don’t blame me, I copied and pasted it (apart from my comments).

Udinese? Well then, may I be the first to congratulate Keinan on his move to Juve in 2025.

I don't think we can rely on Coutinho making any significant contribution this season.  He clearly can't stay fit.  It feels to me we are very short on the left with or without him.  If he needs to be replaced if he goes then in my opinion he needs to be replaced if he stays too.

Aren't they owned by the Watford blokes, where Keinan was last season?

Only if they agree to sell them.
