I don’t think we’ll sign anyone else to be honest.

I'm not hearing any urgency when Unai is asked the question about signing anyone else, other than, 'we have to be ready'.  I'm sure we are always ready as Unai leaves nothing to chance but I agree that we are done for the window.  A window of high quality signings by the way.

Extremely high quality signings masked by the Mings and Buendia situations.

All 4 signings are very exciting and feel like “first teamers”.

We ended up playing our number 9 at right back today, we need a few more signings.

Traore played right back when he came on? I dont  remember that.

We were 442 all game.

I must have been watching a different game, as in the one I watched we definitely had three centre halves and two wingbacks.

It looked like 5-3-2 to me as well. Whatever it was though, it worked.

Honestly though, we’re so flexible these days the formation is almost irrelevant, it changes in and out of possession, and in-game too. I’m sure there were plenty of times when Cash bombed on, and Digne stayed back to make a flat-ish four with Konsa drifting across to look more like a traditional RB. Equally there were times early in the second half when we had an obvious flat back five.

The longer we keep everyone guessing, the better!

Check out the heatmap for Konsa on any site you can find and then tell me he wasn't playing right back.

He was 100% at right back and was very good on the ball too.

We definitely ended it with 5 at the back, because Traoré was frequently in the right back/wing-back position (and was highly unconvincing there, which unbalanced the whole defence).

The (very good) French lady co-commentator on Canal+ remarked on it several times. I thought she had a point.

But for most of the game we were indeed 4-4-2 (or 4-4-1-1) when not in possession. When we got it we were very fluid though.

Emery's a genius.
