European rules only allow max 5 years amortisation (regardless of contract length) but that hasn't been implemented in the Premier league.

Edit: what ADVF stated

We also have a buy back clause on Ramsey which will lower the fee a bit.

Pablo, we get it, you’re not happy but you’re going to have to get over it.

And I will.

But if points are made that I disagree with, I will voice my opinion.

Which is the point of the forum...

We are not going to agree on everything.

A quick review at this point:

- Olsen looks like he is going to be number 2, so probably we're not going to see anyone coming in there.

- It looks like Konsa will be the back up RB or maybe even starting one, so we probably won't see anyone coming in there either (though I think we should)

- Four options currently at CB (after Mings' injury) so can't see any business there

- Rumours persist about Digne leaving, bug that would leave us very short with Moreno still out.  Torres could cover but looks unconvincing there.  Think we'll see someone come in if Digne goes

- Central midfield looks solid with Kamara, Luiz, Tielemans and Dendoncker (if he stays)

- Still think the wide options are inconsistent, but we're probably looking at Bailey and Traore possibly being the options there, unless Diaby moves out there

- Attacking midfield areas look strong with McGinn and hopefully we'll see J Ramsey back soon.  We've got Diaby and Zaniolo for the number 10 role, though we might see the former push out wide if the latter impresses.  Coutinho also can play there and also Buendia when he returns.

- That leaves striker and like the previous couple of seasons, it's probably the area of most concern.  Ollie Watkins is a bit hot and cold (though to be fair is more often hot than cold) and now with Archer seemingly gone, there is only Duran as back up and he doesn't really look ready to play a major part yet.  I'm not sure if Diaby or Zaniolo could play in that position if Watkins is out, but we still look light there.

The left-back situation needs to be resolved, but apart from that, I'm not sure we'll see too many more coming in.  I would prefer proper RB competition for Cash, as I just feel that Konsa playing there weakens us a bit, as does Torres playing LB.  I still think our wide options are too inconsistent, but we might see Diaby out there if Zaniolo is any good.  We need another striker, but we've been saying that for a few seasons now, so obviously those in charge don't agree.

We had another striker in Danny Ings who we correctly let go in Jan so I don't think it's fair to say we've needed another striker for years.

Meant more in terms of someone better than Watkins Eamonn.

Struggling to think of anyone who is both better than Ollie and available.

without shelling out 50m+. That Balogun from Arsenal appears to moving from that price which is steep.

If you look at Watkins stats for assists and goals since Emery has arrived there is not much better out there.

If someone better than Ollie were available for £50m I imagine we'd be all over it.

yep. In the current market, if the likes of Balogun are going for £50m, what's Ollie worth?

I agree with that and think we are currently looking at more of a back up option now.

Champions League teams tend to snaffle those types so good chance we would be blown out of the water.
