I thought Digne was really good today, a constant threat down our left.

I'm not one to encourage moves to Saudi, and if Digne chose France over Saudi I'd applaud him, BUT....... if he's going to France he'll be off very soon. If we was going to Saudi we could drag it out a bit until Moreno is closer to playing again.

Along with McGinn and Dougie, i thought he was our best player.

I get the feeling that is the plan.

Behind the scenes move probably been agreed but no point letting him go until Moreno is fit and ready to play so might aswell keep him as he showed what he was about today with some magnificent crosses first half.

So now that's Mings, Buendia, Coutinho, JJ, Moreno all out, plus Zaniolo who is injured and also hasn't had a pre-season.

We really really need Ramsey back as based on strong end to last season he's a cert for the left to balance things up.

Based on the O/S update though probably won't see much of him until October.

Think main tactic will be just to create midfield overloads and get the ball quickly to Diaby and let him create stuff.

We certainly should be in no hurry to sell Digne either as he was an excellent attacking outlet today and can do the same v Hibs and Burnley.

He was great today in than interstellar space sized gap they left open on that side.

Digne potentially off on loan with option to buy according to Fabrizio. Assume we’re pretty confident of a left back signing if that’s the case.

Well they better be pretty bloody good or I see little point - unless it allows us to strengthen a couple of positions.

Its only been one game*, I suppose, but I was worried about Moreno being out and Digne has more than stepped up. Other than him apparently being on "big" wages, I don't see why we'd be getting rid of him.

*ignoring last week where everyone was shit

sounded like Nice wouldnt be paying all the wages , Saudi would have helped us more financially in paying all the wages and a decent fee , more than Nice  but Im sure the club know what they are doing.

He played very well today.

I don't dislike Digne, I just find him average. It's a pity we haven't seen more of the kind of performances he put in today, first half especially. He was great.

I thought Digne was ok anyway but today he was excellent. You wouldn’t want him to go on the basis of that but I’d surmise that he doesn’t want to be second choice left back and with his high wages it’s probably in everyone’s best interests. Also, it sounds like Acuna can play further forward as well as left back, therefore he’s not going to be in the same boat as Digne, ie if Moreno is fit he won’t likely play. In theory he could be in contention for a place in midfield as well as back up LB.
