Romano linking us with Nuno Tavares. I know absolutely nothing about him.

Left back. Would mean Sevilla are still pissed at us over Acuña.

So now that's Mings, Buendia, Coutinho, JJ, Moreno all out, plus Zaniolo who is injured and also hasn't had a pre-season.

Also, possibly Bailey. He was limping going towards the tunnel.

JPB off to Hull apparently which explains his absence today. Hope we’ve got someone else coming in…

That's surprising, Philogene on a permanent move?

From the local paper up there so who knows how accurate

Quote
City owner Acun Ilicali is understood to have been personally involved in the deal and it's believed a permanent move for the winger is on the verge of being agreed upon after positive discussions with owner Nassef Sawiris.

Philogene has been a long-term target of boss Liam Rosenior, with City tracking the Hammersmith-born ace all summer and conversations with the Premier League club have been ongoing throughout.

A breakthrough in talks is thought to have come last week and the player is believed to be keen on the move with sources indicating the chance to play under Rosenior is a big factor, as is joining a club that are targeting promotion to the Premier League this season.

We'd need two more wide players in if we let him go. Doesn't seem worth the risk to me.

Yup, it's been doing the rounds here, I really hope it's not true. He was second choice left back at Benfica and some some crazy reason Arsenal decided to pay money (€8m) for him. Benfica laughed all the way to the bank, if Arsenal had asked politely Benfica would have sent him there and paid for the taxi.

Crap at Arsenal, sent on loan to Marseille and after that I'd forgotten about him. Apparently he's just turned down a move to Forest which on a good day is about his level. Forest made an offer of £30m, he's worth maybe a tenth of that. Seriously, I can't see us being after him, it can only be paper talk as we're after a left back. If we are, NWSE need to call in the Fraud Squad.

Apparently we're only interested in a loan deal (with an option to buy), as is the player who didn't want to sign permanently for Forest.

With the injuries and potential sales the squad is starting to look a bit bare now. Would expect at least a couple more in before the end of the window

After Philogene-Bidace impressed during the summer, I was expecting him to stay.

I wonder if they will change their minds on him & Aaron Ramsey now given the injuries we have piled up....
