A Spaniard from Spain.
An Italian from Turkey.
A Frenchman from Leicester.
A Frenchman from Germany.

I'll need to see your workings out on this one.

Let's bid for Paqueta; he would be great in our midfield in 12 months' time.
Below is the only link I could find to the villa .....LOL

The investigation started from a bet on Paquetá's yellow card in West Ham's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa, on March 12, for the Premier League.

The Brazilian midfielder took the yellow in the 24th minute of the second half.

Initial analysis showed that on that day several new accounts were created at Betway, account linked with people close to Paqueta, with users depositing the maximum amount allowed. These accounts made a married bet to increase the winnings: the authors would only receive the money if Paquetá took yellow against Villa and if the striker Luiz Henrique, from Betis, received the card against Villarreal, on the same day on March 12.

A Pacquet racket

This looks like match-fixing, whereas Ivan Toney is a gambling addiction problem

I take it Luis Henrique is being investigated as well? Just looked back on LiveScore and he came on as a sub and got booked!

Match fixing must surely carry a much tougher penalty than gambling (although obviously, the one is banned partly because it might lead to the other).

Anyway, I think we'd all be well chuffed with this window had it not been for the injuries to Buendia and Mings.

Still expecting more in though. Forward and Defender. Would like a goalie but can't see it happening.

Every team me we buy someone another posts lists a further set of positions we need cover for. I think we are quite a needy fan base.

Agree with that. If those 3 come in it’ll be the best window ever I reckon. Can even afford to offload a few that aren’t likely to be playing much.

I don’t understand why we have not bought a right back.

He has said that he wants two players for every position so maybe it's something they're working on. Still a couple of weeks left yet.

It will go down as one of the great Villa mysteries if we don't. I do think we may be waiting now on Archer and possibly Digne to move before getting a forward and Acuna. With the way Emery has us set up I'm not certain another wide forward is really going to be much use.
