Digne has been fine overall I think, not bad but not amazing either and if as reported he’s one of biggest earners, that’s not a great model so I can understand them wanting to move him on. He’s not looked entirely comfortable in Emery’s system either.

Wont miss Digne if he goes, he was a strange signing and has never looked anything better than meh. Doesn't suit Emery's system either. Big wages, and good for FFP to shift him out.

Acuna is a good and versatile player more in the mould of Moreno, so a better option.

Carlos going would be a strange one, but again Emery clearly doesn't rate him. We would certainly have to replace him if he did go.

Surprised we haven't targeted a right back, not a fan of Cash.

Zaniolo looks like a talent.

Yes, no RB is strange, after Cash performance on Saturday you would think it’s a priority.
Not a position where you can rely on Konsa or Chambers , we need a right back.

I find it crazy that Ashley was let go .....he was a top performer last season and easily good enough for another year. What if Cash gets injured?

I agree, without replacing him it’s a bit strange.

Not really anything new - just confirmation that Digne has to find a home first before Acuna can be bought.

For some reason Digne has quite a repuation/pedigree. He'll get a move no problem.

I liked what I saw from Moreno towards the end of last season, the sooner he's back the better.

Still worry we're lacking a 'proper' RB to cover/challenge Cash

Can count out Laporte as a centre back option, they’ve agreed a fee with a Saudi club…sell Mahrez and Laporte for what they pay for Gvardiol, another club that must think it’s Christmas having Saudi to offload to

Come on Saudi Arabia, don’t you want any of our unwanted players for vastly inflated prices?

I’m not sure generally speaking they’re paying inflated fees are they? They’re turning players heads with obscene wages, getting them to pressure their clubs for moves. There are exceptions, but most of the fees have looked low end to me.

I suspect Unai thinks the opposite but the problem is he doesn’t have confidence in Digne to give him what he wants from left-back when Konsa or Chambers act as the RB come CH.  Which is why he wants a new LB

I was amazed they got St Maximiniminiman from Newcastle so cheaply.

Firsty, amazed Newcastle let him go for that. Second, equally amazed they didn't use it to engage in some covertly-funding-Newcastle shenanigans.

Surely there has to be a risk of Chelsea going bust? Money they have paid for Caicedo and Lavia is just insane really and reeks of desperation. Great to see likes of Chelsea and Liverpool being utterly ripped off but where does all this end. Hopefully Chelsea miss out on CL football again, the more seasons they are outside the CL will hopefully bring their day of reckoning closer.

The Saudi money is really having an impact on the PL too. Laporte for example should easily have another 3-4 seasons of top Euro club football left in him. Giving all that and Id assume his international career up for a boatload of cash.

Me too, but maybe the wages on offer are out of our league?
