Acuna reminds me a little of Freddie Bouma when defending, but probably more attacking overall

They both look like old spuds.

Somewhat surprised we're not in for Adams from Leeds, would have thought his versatility alone would have been worth taking a punt on (not to mention relatively low fee)

He's injured too, so would be on theme for us.

Twitter linking us with Marcus Acuna.
Whoever that is?

31 year old left back. Can play further up the pitch. Plays for Sevilla and Argentina.

Can't see it, very similar profile to Moreno age wise and playing style and Moreno is hopefully back soon (unless he's had a setback).

Of course in ideal world we'd be moving Digne on due to his wages but don't think it's a good idea to be selling him now with the endless injuries we're getting, probably more likely in January unless a swop deal might be proposed with Sevilla?

Acuna is shite....

Kieran Tierney at Arsenal would be ideal, Newcastle being heavily linked. He's 26 and would be genuine competition for Moreno. That's the calibre of player we should be pushing to get.

He’s hardly shite. But I would rather get someone younger ideally seeing as Moreno is around the same age.

Acuna is shite....

Oh absolutely, what with his World Cup winners medal and being judged as the best left back last season in La Liga. Absolute shite! Now if you'd said he was too old.. but you didn't. TOYA

Keep saying this. Apparently off to Bournemouth now. Very very good player.

Thought he and DePaul were brilliant for Argentina. Fight, heart and skill levels all in one. Not unlike their keeper.

The kind of defensive midfielder who would have kicked anything approaching our box last Saturday. I'm all for more technical players right across the pitch but sometimes, just like the Saudi's rugby league defenders, we need a bit of intelligent nasty in the squad.

Agreed. Adams is a leader despite his age too, and can play a fair bit. Kamara needs genuine competition/ backup in this team.

Talking sense again. One of the reasons I never skim read your posts, fella. And to think the last time I saw you you were knee high to a grasshopper with half the weight. ;)

Apparently he may be available on loan; From the Daily Record (Celtic would like him back) - "Arsenal have asked for around £25million or £30million to let him go permanently, but a transfer on loan is also considered an option."

Time for SJM to make a call.

EDIT: Just to add, anybody else notice Digne has looked as miserable as sin pre-season? Even with his assist the other week, I couldn't help notice his heart doesn't seem to be in it. Maybe Slippy will come a calling.

He's always come across like that even when you watch behind the scenes stuff at the ground. He's just got a miserable head and overall demeanour, he looked the same at Everton (I know, more warranted).

Born on the Isle of Man, easily the most high profile footballer from there.
