The one that stands out there is £62m for Cucurella.

Every time I've seen him play he has been utterly bog standard or plain shit.

And he's got saft hair.

Easily rattled too, tried to be chippy to McGinn who susbsequently carted him up in air, and minutes later he spooned that header to put Olly clean through.

Well, if you’re a poodle you don’t mess with a Scottish Terrier.

Zaniolo looks more like a centre forward to me. I could see him or Diaby playing off Watkins, giving us the option of playing Diaby on the right.

On the prices listed I reckon our midfield (Kamara, Luiz, Tielemans, McGinn, JJ, Donk) is worth upwards of £350m, on fees of about £30m. Our eye for a bargain is every bit as good as Brighton, we just keep our good players instead of taking the money.

He seems to be able to play in multiple positions. From the Galatasaray highlights I watched he was picking up the ball deep and running with it, playing as a one or a two up front and even attacking down the wings. So he’s certainly versatile and fits the kinds of multifunctional player Emery likes. Different systems for different circumstances. And he seemed healthy enough in those highlights to put himself about considering what he’s gone through.

What's impressive about Brighton isn't just their eye for a bargain and to turn a big profit. But their ability to not only remain competitive but to have been improving year on year. We could sell our players for big profits, but would we just be able to bring a replacement in just as effectively? I hope we don't need to find out but that's what's impressive about them. That and the way they play, with such control.

Our midfield cost about £20m and if we sold them tomorrow we’d fetch the better part of £300m with today’s prices.

De Zerbi on Caicedo....

"I have already forgotten about Moises. I'm really proud of the players we have in the squad. We want to keep improving. The credit goes to the club. Bigger clubs can buy our players but they can't buy our soul or spirit."

To be fair to Caicedo, he wanted to go in January and the convinced him to stay til the summer, and then signed a new contract, which leaves them in this position where they can get a ridiculous fee for him.

Well we've managed to secure two excellent established players on free transfers.  That's not quite the same as what Brighton have done.

Why do all those yow tube videos come with such wank music? I'm not expecting Mouldy Old Dough or anything but it's normally unlistenable cack.

He looks absolute quality, I just don't understand why Galatasaray want to sell him, he's only been there since January.

Turkish clubs give it the big'un with meeting wage demands but when they're saddled with them, reality seems to bite after a few months.
