We are sounding out Laporte as UE is selling Mings

Martinez "wants" to go to Chelsea

It's supposed modern social media journalism. Everything based on bullsht and rumour with almost zero supporting evidence or quotes.

Yeah, but you are making the problem worse by repeating what they say, and getting wound up by it.

Just because it's on twitter (or whatever he's calling it this week) or other social media doesn't make it untrue. John Percy tweets a lot about us, and he's pretty much always correct.

We just need to use our own critical faculties and decide how reputable we find the people 'publishing' this stuff.

So, for example, 'footyinsider' is to John Percy as Piers Morgan is to Woodward and Bernstein.

Ah fuck, the Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain dream might be over. He is apparently looking to sign for Besiktas and occupy space in their physio room next season.
Devastated. Why is it that we let the very very best slip out of out clutches every time?? :'(

I actually read that as slip out of crutches

If he wants maximum arguments, get him a username for H&V. We have space for a new agitator, having lost Footy til '24.

“Maximum Arguments - The Best of African Can Reverser”, out now on Trojan Records.

To come full spiral, surely Footy needs to be sponsored On his return  to do a compilation post of every ACR reference on other threads, it would keep him busy for quite a while I think. A bit of community service instead of ‘doing time’ in exile?

Here's some ITK for you Hookey..

We're not signing Gonçalo Ramos from Benfica, he's gone to PSG for £55.9m with an additional £12.9 in add-ons.
Agent fees 10%. Good work if you can get it.

You missed out my favourite, 'The Brazilian is valued at £34m by Transfermarkt'.

West Ham have paid £30m for Harry Maguire.  Now I think he's better than he is made out to be and will probably suit them well.  But why pay £30m for a player Man U were desperate to get off their books?  I honestly thought he'd go for free or a token sum because of his wages.

I’d agree. He’ll do fine at West Ham and £30m is probably a fair price (terrifyingly)

As long as they defend deep he’ll be okay I think.

Agreed Hookey.
The girl Melissa on Sky loves a bland, ambivalent, noncommittal phrase (usually involving ManUre) ...  'Manchester United Football Club are potentially, thinking about maybe preparing a bid for XXXXX, and it is assumed that XXXXX would probably think about the situation and might be open to considering moving to OT'. All while implying she is ITK.

I hope Maguire does amazingly for West Ham. I know all clubs/fans can have tempestuous relationships with players at times, but it feels like Man Utd fans are particularly awful lately, and they've heaped dogs abuse on this one player in particular.

What made me laugh about the Maguire situation was Man Utd trying to make out that he wasn't surplus to requirements.

Unfortunately, that's £30m towards another signing when they've had to work their way round FFP.
