Not going to lie, I'd be pretty disappointed if Tammy is the 'top-class' striker that we're waiting on.

Matej Kovar links, goalkeeper from Manchester United and also Samuel Iling-Junior from Juve

Alongside Michael Olise (who’s in both City and Chelsea lists), Doku is one of the priority names being considered by Man City.

Iheanacho I'm less sure of, he just doesn't do enough for me, 1 good game here and there tends to hide the fact that he's pretty lazy when things aren't going his way. In all honestly I think the same is true of a lot of the attacking players from Leicester last season, which is a big part of why they struggled, a shit defence/keeper (lets be fair their first choice was far worse than Olsen) and no one working for the team at the other end is a bad combination.

Couldn't the same accusation be levelled at Tielemans?! In fact, I'm pretty sure it was.

Of course it could, but he has a much higher pedigree.

Hmmm, I wonder which bench he'd rather warm.

He was always destined to join the dark side.

Few links to that young keeper at Man Utd today. He was on loan at Sparta Prague last season, made 32 appearances for them across various competitions. Think they won the league last season?

He's training on his own having been left out of preseason squad, and Sparta apparently want him back but haven't been able to agree a deal.

Knowing ManUre that will be a ridiculous price,Trafford , the Burnley signing would have been a good one imo, reasonably priced too

£19m for someone who has never played higher than League One?

Amazing what passes for "reasonably priced" these days!

10 million according to what I read, but where that number has come from, I don't know.

Yep me too. There was a time when i really wanted Tammy back, but for me this would just be nostalgia now. He’s a different tupe of player, but i just think despite criticism, some deserved, some not, Watkins was offers more.

I’d never really heard of Diaby, so think it will be someone else i haven’t heard off. Not hard as i haven’t heard of a lot of players….unless its Felix.

pre injury - I think tammy for £25m ish isn't a bad deal.

As a squad player - he would be good, and if you think what Unai did with Watkins in a few months, to have two strikers of that quality - there will be few that could match that outside, probably beyond Liverpool, and the two Manchester clubs.

I would love someone amazing - and it would be a little underwhelming but I don't think it would be bad business

What are people thinking - My thinking is were pretty much done.  Maybe some squad type players, especially if we move someone on.

I can see late in the window a RB and a GK - but Im not expecting anything else exciting

For striker, my preference is to sign the best possible “21 year olds” that can be the transition from Watkins in a year or two. I just don’t think we are in the position financially (or attractive enough) to buy the necessary quality right now.

Currently the best “21 year olds” might be Archer or Duran so we should at least give them a blast until January and see how they do.
