BREAKING: Everything indicates that FC Barcelona will force Ferran Torres to LEAVE the club.
@fansjavimiguel

Do we need someone who does not want to be here?

It's very quiet on even remotely possible links at the moment.

Not just for Villa, the whole transfer market seems very quiet.

A lot of clubs are away in different countries at the moment playing a number of games in a short timeframe, so I think it’s probably been difficult to get things done.  Probably start to see some movement next week.

How can they force him to leave? Pay the rest of his contract in full, seems unlikely.

Or maybe they'll make him an offer he can't refuse.

It often feels to me like we have a must-have list, with a number of targets in order of preference, and then a nice-to-have list.

The must-haves, where they feel they have to sign someone on the list, are all done and dusted. What’s left is the nice-to-have list, where they would like to sign someone, but if the right player at the right price isn’t possible, then they will wait.

Which doesn't always work. Nico Willams...

But then the backup wasn't bad in Moussa Diaby, so fair play...

Classic Barca - sign someone, then look for the new shiny toy. Probably asked him to take a pay cut too.

They really are appallingly run.

I would guess just not playing someone would force them to leave the club. I'm sure he could be stubborn about it and take their wages to do nothing all year, but presumably most footballers want to actually play football.

I'm not sure was it Torres or Felix that some slightly more reputable people were saying we were still interested in but would probably wait and see how the window shakes out, and if it was to happen it would be at the end of it.

Brentford bid again for Johnson, I hope we’re still interested.

Juventus Still Ready To Sell Aston Villa And Liverpool Target For Big Enough Offer

The Serie A giants will be happy to sell him if a club tabled a bid somewhere around €70m in the ongoing transfer window.

£60m is too much I would take him for £45m

I’ve only just realised we once had a squad with both an Archer and a Targett in it…
