Interesting part in Emery's press conference where he mentioned playing with 3 centre backs on occasion.

Another nail in the coffin of CDBWF's return. :(

I like that. We need to be versatile enough to play various systems, formations, tactics and not have one set, predictable  XI that plays every week.

It might point more to Konsa moving across one, so it might not be in the sense of having 2 wingbacks that ultimately becomes 5 at the back when you can't retain possession.

I'm pretty sure we did that at Wolves for last half hour.

It's one way I can see Diego Carlos getting some minutes as he hit some nice diagonal passes in that game to the wide players.

I think Carlos also has the ability to slip into a DM role as needed. Much better than bringing on Chambers, who really hasn’t done a lot wrong. Just that Diego is a better all round player.

We've only signed one forward; I don't think we're done.

We are not done. 2-3 more in. Loans to depart and some exits on permanent - likes of Sanson, Davis, Traore

Are the 2-3 more squad fillers or first team players?

You have to think RB starter quality, one more wide man/forward type, and back up keeper at least.

Aside from maybe a number 2 keeper don’t believe we’re in the mindset of squad fillers anymore. Anyone who comes in will be the play/upgrade/challenge the starting 11

Brennan Johnson won’t happen unless Forest reduce price. Think a striker type will be later in window

Personally (just my own opinion no info) could see Dendonker going and Tyler Adam’s coming in (he then also cover RB)

With the likes of Johnson Forest don’t really need to sell and don’t want to sell one of their best players. If it happens it would be late in the window and if the player/agent make it clear the want the move. The risk for them is we might move on to another target by then which is why Doku rumours have surfaced. The RB challenging Cash to important and the back up keeper who can play with the ball at his feet and generally be competent with the basics is critical.

See Barnes has moved for 39m and Danjuma to Everton two wingers previously linked with but Diaby is far better than either of these two I'm my view
