There is also the cynic in me thinking that if Diaby goes to Saudia Arabia, we are being stopped from strengthening by the same people who own one of our top end of the table rivals in Newcastle United...

Is it a coincidence that they want Diaby in particular?

I expect so, given it was quite widely reported that Newcastle themselves wanted Diaby.

If they buy him and loan him back to Newcastle people will actually spontaneously combust. I kind of want to see it happen just to witness the levels of outrage.

We can all access twitter

Strictly speaking, we can't.

One of Musk's bright ideas was that you can't view it read-only, you need to be logged in.

Anyway, just pouncing on a chance to be pedantic, as is the way of this place!

I haven't been following this, but I think this may have changed as I can now see them again, I just can't see replies without an account.

Yup - if that happens I'm quite happy to row back on my earlier posts about how terrible and cheaty the whole thing is (or isn't)

Clicking on a link seems to work, but trying to see anything else, replies, the profile etc. doesn't seem to work still. No great loss.

Yeah, that's what happens if I'm not logged in.

I really don’t think Villa would be the team Newcastle would be specifically focused on disrupting, even if there was some sort of labyrinthine plot underway.

Yeah, if they are genuinely interested in him then this could be pivotal signing. It does show that the Saudi's can get younger players which could open the door for others. So far their sig ings have been older players coming to the end of their playing days. He will.come to us....

milinkovic-savic and ruben neves are both in their prime.

Telegraph reporting that Nakamba to Luton will be a done deal within the next few days. As noted he wasn't in any of the preseason pics/vids and we apparently had no plans to reintegrate him with the squad.

A good move for Marv and wish him well if it goes through.

Are Al Nassr one of the PIF clubs?

He was in the training video when all the other returned the other day - no sign of Hause / Davis though

My mistake, I was so busy looking for Coutinho I must have missed him.

The reports I was referring to probably aren't from reliable sources, just in case that needed clarification. Just a lot of differing stories doing the rounds today.

We can all access twitter I want you to know so it's a good idea to only post reliable sources so we don't get our hopes up or have them dashed.

I can't actually access twitter because I don't have an account and Elon made it so you can't see stuff without one. So you're wrong on that point.

Also about 90% of this thread is pure nonsense, and it keeps everyone going, so if you're only looking for 100% verified news, I'd say check the official site once a day and save yourself the disappointment.

Elon who?

Elon Gates; Bill's procrastinating brother.
