Please can we have one thread ( a bloody important one as well as its about new recruits) to remain politics free.

If people want to discuss Saudi leagues and the politics behind it etc then fine - but not in a thread like this

Pretty please

Which transfers are you upset that people aren't discussing?
Why don't you and the merry band of moderators comply with the requests and moderate instead of asking questions. You can tell that not only are individuals unhappy, but there is also off-topic arguing on this thread. When there has been a significant amount of off-topic conversation, it is quite challenging to follow and discuss the specified issue.

It's all rather unpleasant to read and lacking in context of transfer discussion
This goes against the forum's spirit and I want to say I'm dissatisfied with what is being allowed to continue.

Up The Villa!

Why don't you not tell the moderators how to manage the site? Nothing on here goes against the spirit of this forum which has always been to let conversation flow even if it goes off topic. If you need mods to strictly enforce threads staying on topic I'd recommend Villatalk.

If all you want is transfer talk, fuck off to Twitter.

In my opinion.

I'm wondering why they aren't using their power to do something.
I respect them and know they are very good people, so I hope they can accommodate people's requests and keep things moving. I was surprised to see it being disregarded when it's clear for all to see.

I'm having a break till we make a transfer! and will hope for Diaby to be signed, which will take us back on topic!
I didn't mean to sound rude to the moderators, but people are asking for things to stop.
And no, I have several devices and sometimes type quicker than other times!

If there’s one thing that annoys more people than off-topic posts it’s you. So pipe down.

We are doing something, we are taking the active decision to let people discuss what they want to discuss.

If posters want to ask each other over and over again whether Diaby had signed yet or not (given I don't really see much in the way of other active potential  transfers to talk about), then that's what they would do.

If they want to talk about something else in the meantime, they're free to crack on with it without us butting in.

Florida is hardly a beacon of hope for the lgbtq+ community, or people of colour. A number of organisations have issued travel warnings for the state, so while they're not at the level of Saudi Arabia, it is a fair comparison.

That's funny because Florida quite literally WAS the beacon of hope to all the Cuban refugees that escaped the wonderful, loving and caring utopian Castro regime. Unless of course you don't consider Cubans to be "people of color"  ::)

"WAS" is the operative word

A good pal of mine lived in Bahrain for 10 years and still has to travel back there and to Saudi to attend board meetings, you are not allowed to do Facetime, much to his annoyance. He doesn't even leave his hotel in Saudi, he says the gap between rich and poor is immense, then again when he left Bahrain a few years ago the natives were getting very restless in what he said was the safest country in the middle east and there were regular riots, he had to be escorted to work from the compound where the ex pats were housed.

Hey Footy, do multiple people access your account? Honest question.. it seems like your grammar changes from time to time and I never thought you'd take a shot at the mod team.

Of course they do, look at that last post.

I like to think that if I were a top class player at the tail end of my career and with millions already in the bank that I'd either publicly tell them to go fuck themselves, or take their money. And then use every penny they paid me from day one to support LGBT causes around the world.
This is the thing that really bugs me. Everyone they're signing is already set up for life, unless they've been really stupid with their money. So the lure of 25 million for a year, or whatever it is, should not be enough to make already very wealthy people throw away all moral reasoning...
And, if anyone of them were reading this they might say that a healthy percentage of their earnings already goes - and will continue to go - to their chosen charities.

I think if I've followed the thread correctly, we're signing Mohammed bin Salman and Ron DeSantis.
