Back on topic.

Do Welsh players count as home grown? Or are they treated the same as say French players from a European game squad perspective?

Just wondering if we sign Johnson how it works.

I was looking this up the other day. Welsh count, Scottish don't.

Interesting. I suppose some Welsh teams okay in the English FA Cup so…

They don't have a proper league, whereas Scotland traditionally has (I know, I know) so there's a distinguishing factor.

First time looking at this today and there’s quite a few pages added. If it’s another discussion about United, City or Town I won’t be angry, just disappointed!
Anyway off to start reading 10 or so pages back.

The Welsh Cup was mad. Welsh teams who played in the English league were not allowed to enter the tournament but English non league sides were allowed to compete but if they won they weren’t allowed to progress to the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, it would have to be given to a Welsh team. Or something like that.

Welsh Football League teams could play in it. Manchester United played Wrexham in the Cup Winners Cup.

Sound advice, the last 10 pages wouldn't have happened had the sun been shining and car washing was an option.

IMO.

On the bright side, at least we haven't done anything as cringey as that Arsenal Fan TV Declan Rice thing.

Truly fucking terrible.

Honestly, what is wrong with Arsenal fans?

Yeah, you’re right. I remember Stourbridge reached the final in the 70’s and played Cardiff. I think the bit about the English winners not being able to qualify for Europe is right though
