Lots of Twitter around about us being willing to listen to offers for Digne.  Seems Unai doesn’t rate him or doesn’t think he’s worth the money we play him.  So I suppose we will need to add a new left back to the list of potential incomings

Tierney please

Digne is an odd one, if it’s true that he is on circa 150k a week because the idiot was soooooo desperate to sign him then it kind of makes sense if possible to move him on if he is to be deputy.  Again I’d back Unai & co to have an alternative in mind should we manage to move Digne on.

I wasn’t in any way annoyed, so didn’t comment, but the context wasn’t clear at all. You said Newcastle were playing United. It looked incongruous given that Newcastle are called United.

No, I said two other clubs were interested in him, Newcastle and Utd. In reply to a comment about us apparently being the only team interested in Joao Felix, a player who is open to a premier league return, has repeatedly said he wants to move to a Champions League team.

In that context, and given I named Newcastle, there is no other United I could have been talking about.

Oh. My.God.

Which God? Be more specific. It's not right to assume we'd all know who you're talking about .

Think it would be the money he is on really.  He will be second choice when (hopefully not if) Moreno recovers and is reportedly one of our highest earners, if not our highest.  Can't really have the situation where a second choice player is in that position.

Said this months ago. Makes no sense having one of your highest earners being a back-up player who gets little game time. Got the sense that Emery didn't rate him either.

Don't think Emery has much time for sentimentality and that's often the way with successful clubs.

I honestly can't see the point in selling Digne. Moreno's injured and even when he's not, we could potentially be playing 50+ games this season. If we're going to buy another left back, a decent one who's not going to be a big drop off in quality is going to be £20m+ and c. £100K in wages anyway.

Digne is a bit shit for £150k a week. We could do worse, but I think we will do better

Agree. It’s a January problem, (if a problem at all), unless they know a specific “18 year old” that’ll be phased in over the next few years.

Ah yes. That particular avenue of pleasure has been closed off.
