£30m and Davis

£40m and Olsen

You're joking right?

Would have to be £20m plus Olsen... 😂

I'm sure that was the joke and how much are you valuing Olsen at?

60m and Olsen, then I reckon we've done well in the deal.
40m cash or 60m with Olsen

Interesting. If tap-in merchant Romano says that Diaby is keen to join us, I'd take that as a sign that it could well happen.

This is the tweet.

Understand Aston Villa official bid for Moussa Diaby was €35m plus add-ons — this is the real fee. 🚨🟣🔵 #AVFC

Bayer Leverkusen rejected but told the negotiations are still ongoing, deal ON.

Diaby wants the move, he already said yes to Villa and Leverkusen are aware of that.

Yes, very good. But with the caveat that there have been wingers have looked very good in the Bundesliga before and been a bit disappointing when they've moved to the Premier League.

But it's hard to judge - it could be that moving over and having his international teammates in Digne and Kamara makes all the difference to adapting and means he fits in a bit better. Or we could all be whinging in a years time that we didn't learn from the Bailey experience.

Interesting, stands to reason the player has already expressed an interest if we’re into fee negotiations.

Rodrigo from Leeds (see links from earlier in the summer) has gone to Saudi Arabia.

Interesting that we’ve had zero links to goal keepers, which I would consider an absolute priority.

It's important but not the main priority as its only for cover

Is he good?

Haven't watched him but the Liverpool forum thought it was an ambitious move by us when we were first linked.

A couple of their posts after Fab's tweet...
"Villa reportedly submit bid for Moussa Diaby. If they get him they move up the pecking order, will legitimately be above Spurs and Brighton (possibly chelsea) in expectation for next season. Making some very good moves after a strong finish last season."
"I'd even have them as favorites for 3rd place, behind LFC and Man City ..."

Mind you, they also thought Bailey was a brilliant buy so as Dave says, it can be hard to judge when they're coming from the Bundesliga.

Not zero, we've been linked to Bono. But unless Martinez leaves, which there are no signs of, I'm not sure who we'd be linked with when all we want is a backup?
