Everyone seems to think Barnes is off to join WHAM! though, don't they?

Brady is pushing for the deal, it's everything she wants

He wants to have a bit more freedom on the pitch apparently.

Yep, she’s been chasing him since last Christmas.

They were always going to strengthen with the eventual money from selling Rice to Arsenal, it was inevitable since Arteta first called Moyes and said “I want your 6”.

He needs a Father Figure.  Emery needs to call him and tell him 'I'm Your Man'

Personally, I think Dendonkar is different to most of the others and if we are looking to move him on it’ll be in view of signing someone else, I’d hope a similar but quicker and more mobile version. I guess we’ll see.

If we move Dendoncker on, I think it's more likely because they see Iroegbunam as being ready enough to be part of the squad - if we sell him and buy a replacement, it starts to become hard to see how the latter has a path into the first team.

I like the Donk but sometimes you have to make decisions to free up spots for players coming through. If Iroegbunam does come through this season, it would also give the academy a huge boost. Same really when moving Ings on, Archer should be ready to come in there now and challenge Watkins.

Just think midfield is by far our strongest part of the squad right now, Luiz, McGinn, Tielemans, Ramsey, Kamara....going to be a battle for Iroegbunam to get minutes.

I think Iroegbunam could still benefit from a loan move to the Championship. He's shown he is capable there so will have clubs interested in taking him, he just needs to go and put it all together and have a standout season where's he's one of the top performers.

Personally I think he & Archer should be in the squad until Christmas, if by then they haven’t had much game time & we will know where we are with Europe then reassess.

I wouldn't mind Gnonto in as a prospect, as he seems a stage further on than most of our kids, but I really would be getting the Harvey Barnes deal done. Even if Emery couldn't improve his work rate (which I think he would) you're not getting any less work than either Bailey or Traore, but you are getting a far higher and more consistent goal output.

I would prefer the more proven Barnes (he looked better at Albion when younger than Gnonto did at Leeds) but my concern is all his best work is down the left hand side of things where we have a Bailey shaped space that needs filling on the right.

His stats are excellent in a shite team

Just a hunch, but I think Emery might favour a left footed player cutting in on the right hand side.  Bailey and Traore are both stronger on their left and I suppose someone cutting in on that side creates space for the right-back to push into.

Wouldn't be surprised to see us buy a left footed wide player if / when we do purchase one.

That obviously can be the case but we didn't really push the RB much in to that space though as he likes asymmetry, it was pretty much all Moreno. Maybe he'll switch which sides attack more this coming season. I generally prefer it when they cut in on their strong foot, it just surprises me how one footed some players appear. I always think to my self that I would train the shit out of my weak foot.

This.

We need a bigger squad & we can introduce Archer, Iroegbunam & A. Ramsey during European games & cup games, along with the odd Prem sub appearance.

Once we are into January, if we are still in Europe, League Cup, etc, then we can work out where they need to be in terms of first team or loans...

But not a Championship loan.

They have all proven they are more than good enough for the Championship.

A Prem loan, or a loan abroad should be their next step, if they aren't in first team contention.

20m-approx for Gnonto seems (relatively) pretty reasonable based on my sample of one when he played at Villa Park.
