I don't think we should buy anyone from the big 6 or the bottom 3, so just the 11 clubs. Seriously though, I don't know why people have these blanket views, it's obviously a case by case basis and all depends on what the player has or hasn't done. I couldn't care less which club they have come from as long as they are deemed good enough, that last bit you can debate but not where they have come from.
There are more than 11 club Europe wide. There are different problems associated with signing players from  clubs who regularly play in the CL and those from relegated teams. CL players become available on their way down and are usually bit miffed about stepping down. As for relegated players I am struggling to name one who has done really well for a PL club post relegation. There must be one or two?

Twitter linking us with winger Hirving Lozano of Napoli and Seville forward En Nesyri who West Ham were supposedly keen on last season.

Yes, there are a few with decent recent success. Not a comprehensive list, but a selection: Wijnaldum and Robertson mentioned already ...Sissoko, Gueye, Ramsdale, Maguire, Pickford, Ake, Wilson.

There are plenty of them, good players sometimes play in bad, relegated sides. Maddison, Barnes and Tielemans are three examples from one club relegated this season alone.  Lavia, Livramento and Ward-Prowse at Southampton. Tyler Adams at Leeds. These are all good players, and that's from this season alone.

Bella-Kotchap would be a good signing imo

Shift Chambers and he could be a decent buy, Young and has some premier league experience already

Carlos is the one who I’m interested in though, hopefully he will have a good pre season and be the player we hoped he would be, if so (once Pau is confirmed) we will have a great selection of central defenders with Ty, Konsa, Pau and Diego

Inter have confirmed United are interested in Onana, and are also being linked with Justin Bijlow. Hopefully that means they're not sniffing around us for Martinez. That rumour seems to have died down.

(That said I also read they've asked De Gea not to sign for anyone else, despite not renewing his contract, and they've stopped Forest from signing Henderson permanently in case they can't get anyone new in. So who knows)

Tim Vickery said today on Talksport, the word in Argentina is that Emi would like to move, but he likes Villa.

I know players brain's don't seem to work this way but you'd think given all the unrest at Utd the last while, and the way they've treated their current keepers, he wouldn't want to go within a mile of them. Chelsea were the other team he was linked with a while ago, and they're as bad. But as I said, it doesn't seem to put many people off.

The Plastics can't afford Emi unless we decide to sell him for a comically ridiculous low price of 40m. It will take double that I'd imagine.

They quite obviously can afford him. If they decided he was worth £80m of their horrible money, it wouldn't be a problem for them.

Be surprised if they did though, given there are plenty of two-thirds of the player for half of the price available elsewhere.

They have around a total of 100m to spend this summer due to FFP regulations, so you're right they could afford him just it wouldn't leave them much for all the other players they need to replace. There's a reason their fans don't want a billionaire Man U fan owning the club, they want oil money.

Not that I'd want us to lose our top players but have Man yew got anyone we'd want to swap Emi with?  Sancho, McTominay and Wan Bissaka are all a no from me.  As for Harry Maguire!!
