Depeche Mode can't hold a candle to S Club 5.

Barnes in advanced talks with West Ham.
Disappointing if true. Would have loved him at Villa.
I like to think that Barnes would have come to us IF we where interested in making that happen.

I suspect West Ham will be doing precisely what we did after Grealish left, and spending the best part of the £100m the receive on three players to replace Rice.  I really hope they're not all the same standard as Harvey Barnes, who I rate highly - or that if he DOES go there, he immediately turns into Trez.

So Ferran Torres. I’m sounding like a right misery arse, he’s a bit of a name but hasn’t pulled up any trees at Man City or Barcelona. When I used to take more notice of Spanish football he was highly rated at Valencia, now I’m sure he has the potential to be better but, genuine question, is he an upgrade on Bailey?

I’m of the same opinion. Mind you, I’ve not seen anything of him at Barcelona.

Read a link on some site earlier to Daniel Jebbison.

As a player for the future, I think he would be a good pickup.

He is 6'3", rapid, good on the ball.

Has had first team experience for Sheff Utd in Prem & Championship by the age of 18.

Been linked with some bigger clubs on the continent as well.

The latest from Romano is that he doesn’t want to leave Barca. If so we should leave well alone. It was a loan deal mentioned anyway and I’d hope we’re beyond that now without extremely good reason.

Willian seemingly available after not fancying Fulham’s contract offer, wrong age but always seems to offer a threat.

We don't want to end up with twin towers in our team.

I would like a bid put in for Rihad Mahrez. Another big upgrade on Bailey.

Man City are letting some of their older players go. He is a class act, underused and still has a couple of good years in him.

Don't agree. Whilst Bailey is inconsistent he played in a team who needed to win most of their matches and played his part is doing that. Barnes played his part in relegating a team. A mostly ineffective player.

If being in a relegated team is a reason not to sign a player, you might want to stay clear of the OS today ;-)
