Good, I'd trust that more than some jumped-up, entitled Juve tifosi.

Heard a whisper this morning about a premier league free transfer.

Announce Tom Davies ;)

You do get the feeling that the story of this summer might be that the predators in the waters we are fishing in are just too big, which is lucky we have a top manager because I think he's going to have to squeeze the maximum amount of talent out of players a rung below the level of who we might want.

As if we don't have enough "fashion" related woes at B6. :(

I'm not so sure. We're still very early in the transfer window in real terms and that gives a lot of players time to see what other options there are, as we get into mid-late July a lot of the players who are saying no or stalling right now might realise we're a good option after all and things start to move. Ths is the main reason why so much of the business happens late in the window (I think it's something like half of all transfers are in the last 5 days on average).

The Athletic are saying we're interested in Tyler Adams. I've seen us linked to him countless times but it's the first time one of the more reputable, more credible sources have said so.

He would be a good alternative for Kamara.

We aren't offering Champions League yet but the vision in the playing side appears clear, that's what we're aiming for. As we're in the next tier, with the manager, DoF and owners we have, we become very attractive.

I agree that my opinion is based on close to fuck all and I didn't expect many transfers early on, they almost never are. Just gut instinct/pessimism. Hoping you are right, Paul.

Yes we are where we were in 2007 / 2008 but this time with a manager who has imagination, flexibility and moves with the times

Not for me, I'm not sure he'd be much of an upgrade on Donk. I know Leeds were a bit of a car crash last year but even accounting for that he never stood out as clearly capable of playing a much higher standard and more importantly if we add cover for Kamara/replace Donk it needs to be someone with a bit more physicality to their game.

I love the midfielders we have now but Ramsey, Luis, McGinn and Tielemans are all a bit small. Kamara and Donk are the only ones with any real aerial presence so we can't afford to lose that by replacing Donk with another 5'7-5'8 option.

I would feel much better if we had a more physical midfielder in the squad too. McGinn punches above his weight, and we don’t really have anyone else who chucks his weight around and frustrates the opposition.

Isn’t that what Tyler Adam’s does?, from what I’ve seen of him. Seems a decent squad addition and definitely better than Dendonker IMO

Adams is a lot more mobile than Dendoncker, and quicker too. But he is small-ish, I'd like to see a player of the Donk's stature but with a much better all round game.

he's 5'9 and would be replacing someone who's 6'1 in a squad that is pretty small other than a few big defenders and Duran. Height isn't the be all and end all, good players are always welcome, I'm just not sure Adams is such a good player that you'd ignore the fact that he'd be the shortest player in our midfield.

Scholes saying he can't understand why no 'big' clubs are interested in JJ. Fucking tosser. Sums up why I detest that club and everything about it. Absolutely no respect for other clubs or their players, ever since red nose was in charge.
