Would be great If all the teams decided not to buy any Chelsea players and leave them with a bloated squad and lots of players that cant play on big wages ,  they should not be helping them unload their crap.

It's a joke what they keep doing , they need to be investigated .

I think this would actually be more effective than any FFP measures that probably won't be implemented anyway.

So does FFP only apply to certain clubs. It's a serious question. Some clubs  seem to be worried by it and others just don't seem to give a shit.

FFP is purely there so that clubs like Villa & Newcastle cannot use the same loopholes that Chelsea & Manchester City did to gain their huge advantage over the rest of the footballing pyramid.

Its closing the drawer bridge.

Bit quick to dismiss Newcastle there, I reckon.

Limit squads , limit loans and bloody limit wages ,  it is absolutely ridiculous the amount of money going out of the game that could be redirected into grass roots and sensible ticket pricing

I imagine most of the Championship thought the same when that massive, recently relegated club bought their way out of it a few years ago.

The Sun are linking us to 21 year old Portuguese international Goncalo Ramos from Benfica for €80m.

Its a tenuous link because by the sounds of their "reporting", that agent Mendes is trying to get a bidding war going for the kid.

But its a link, so thought I would mention it.

Despite the Champions League money, they still have to play by the same FFP farcical rules as we do...

Newcastle will be allowed in to the cartel because Prem League and the so called big clubs want their hands on that Saudi filthy money

Sell Watkins for £60m, buy Ramos for £80m and we've got a great upgrade for £20m.

Four sponsorship deals already with PIF companies suggest you could be right.

They can have as many PIF sponsorship deals as they like, there are no rules against that.  What there ARE rules against is inflating the amount they get paid, and ensuring any deals represent fair market value.  This is what I believe Man City are accused of.

For example, I think Newcastle's new shirt sponsor is the PIF-owned Saudi Sports event firm Sela. For £25m a year. That's probably a little high, given it's replacing one for £6m a year, but given they're in the Champions League now, and Spurs and Arsenal get £40m for theirs, it's probably not going to raise any eyebrows with regards to FFP.

If they suddenly announce something like a "corner flag sponsor" for £50m a year, it probably would, and this is what Man City and Chelsea were allowed to get away with before they tightened the regulations.

If we're looking to bulk up the squad, then maybe - he's tidy enough - but I'd prefer we spent this summer trying to buy players who will become part of the first 11, and see current first choices become squad players.

I'm wondering with our Spanish connections if Valentín Castellanos is on our radar. Could be an interesting player with a buy-out clause of just €15m. He's from Argentina, made his name in the MSL for New York, who sent him out on loan last season to newly promoted Girona, who finished 10th last season. He scored 14 goals in 37 goals including 4 against Real Madrid.

The reason he came to my attention is Benfica are after him to replace Ramos.

I think we should go for Brenan Johnson. I think considering his age, Emery would work wonders with him.
