If fellow Basque Emery couldn't convince him to leave, I doubt anybody else will. Maybe he just feels he's not quite ready or he was disappointed our bull ring was a shopping centre and the only bull in the city is a statue. Brum may be many things but Pamplona it ain't.

Could just be that a 20 year old kid doesn't feel ready to move to a new country.

Wiki said he got 46 goals in 92 appearances for Sporting.

That can't be right, for an attacking midfielder?

Flashscore says the same. Why isn't everyone after him?

Doesn't he have a massive buy-out clause?

Most are probably penalties. He rarely misses. His goal against Arsenal Petrov style was a demonstration of what he can do but it was the exception rather than the rule.
Sporting president yesterday when talking about the squad only mentioned that they were happy to have now 90% of his ownership. He also mentioned that no first teamers would be sold but we all know how that works.

It's a lot of money that comes with a certain  risk. One thing is for certain, he's not the same player the Dingles let go.

Would quite like Walker, been there and done it all. Still has pace and quality and I think a few years at the top left in him.

Ideal competition for Cash, could help him progress to the next level whilst giving us a real quality option at RB.

Not sure how much he is worth though, £12-15m?

The bond between Bilbao and the players is trying given the Basque identity.

To be honest, whilst if love us to sign the best players we can ... if that Nico Williams lad wants to stay at Athletic Bilbao, fair play to him. If I was Basque, I'd want to play for them over & above anyone else.

Wow! I'm impressed. It just seems Sporting have tonnes of penalties so I assumed he'd scored them all. Looking back on last season he does have a habit of turning up in the right place right time but to expect his Arsenal goal to be the norm is asking a bit too much.
I like him,  I just have doubts we'll expect too much and he won't adapt immediately.  Filling the number 10 spot is so important this could be a risk.
