Looks like Williams has decided to stay in Bilbao.

As for Walker, yes he's from Sheffield, but also a bit of a knob too, not sure I'd want him.

The Mail via BBC transfer gossip page has us, amongst others, to a Japanese striker Keito Nakamura who I’ve never heard of, plays in Austria apparently.

BBC also report Spurs have offered £50m for Barnes AND Maddison, I’ve heard of starting off low in negotiations but that’s taking the piss. That genius Levy is at it again. Throw in a bag of Revels and I’m sure Leicester will accept.

Maybe throw Josh Onomah in as a makeweight?

I reckon he might offer Ryan Mason.

Won't they then lose their cover in a key position?

Disappointing if true, at this rate we'll end up with Harvey Barnes. :(

Bear in mind this is being “reported” by someone with 2300 followers on Twitter and then retweeted. It might be true but there is so much nonsense out there right now

Looks like Williams has decided to stay in Bilbao.

From Relevo:

Quote
Unai Emery himself met with Nico Williams at the Río Bidasoa Hotel on Thursday of last week. A meeting in which the Basque coach tried to convince the player, as he already tried through a phone call last January.

Nico appreciates the interest of a technician as renowned as Emery. Hence why she sat with him. But he has decided to reject the proposal of the English team again. An economically very powerful offer, but that does not seduce sportingly to the extreme.

Nico's intention is to continue in Bilbao. This is how he has always transmitted it internally, although the negotiations to renew his contract continue their course.

This does not mean that Nico will continue in Bilbao 100%. The arrival on the scene of a giant from the continent could change the course and the current situation, but that interest has not yet arrived.

Seems a little disrespectful towards Villa, but oh well..

It'll be ok.

Don't know much about Nico, and he is very young. If he wants to stay with Bilbao for now, fair enough.

We'll sign him to bolster our bench for the Champions League campaign next season 😂

It's not really, it's what a lot of players who want Champions League football would say.

I'm not sure if that logic flows. He's at Bilbao, who are no where near UCL and he's on 38k/week. Does that mean Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea can't recruit him? He's 20, not running out of time at 30.

Well I'd argue Liverpool and Chelsea are much closer to 'European giants' than we currently are. Do you think a player thinks we are much more likely to be playing at the top table than those 2? Spurs obviously not. Maybe his age makes him think he isn't in a rush and he can wait for a 'European giant'? He's enjoying his football with his older brother, maybe there needs to be more of a pull than just an extra 50k a week? Who knows but I certainly didn't feel disrespected.

It’s a shame as he’s one I’d have liked to see us sign and thought we’d probably have a decent chance.
