The Mail via BBC transfer gossip page has us, amongst others, to a Japanese striker Keito Nakamura who I’ve never heard of, plays in Austria apparently.

BBC also report Spurs have offered £50m for Barnes AND Maddison, I’ve heard of starting off low in negotiations but that’s taking the piss. That genius Levy is at it again. Throw in a bag of Revels and I’m sure Leicester will accept.

Spurs have made a bid and we are said to be "keeping and eye on developments".  That seems a long way short of "readying out warchest"!

Yeah, 'keeping an eye on developments' isn't even at 'preparing a bid' stage, so a long way to go before they ready their warchest.

Maybe we will move on to considering preparing a bid!

It's not serious until we start seducing them with a succulent offer.

That YouTube clip of Benteke’s goals was great. He had it all really, what a fantastic striker he was for us.

Guzan @4'25" on is brilliant. 😆

That’s Friedel isn’t it?
I’ll have to check

You may well be right, Nigel. It's all a bit blurry (the footage AND my memory).

After looking for the umpteenth time I think you’re right, it could very well be Guzan, Rodders.

I simply couldn't imagine Big Brad One losing his cool like that - he took himself *soooo* seriously!

If it helps Friedel was gone at least a season before we signed Benteke.

Blimey - he was, too. Next I'll fondly be remembering Little's chipped pass to Yorke that scored the FA Cup winner under Vengloss.

Or wait for Spurs to set the price then shove them aside!

Talk of Sheff Utd wanting Kyle Walker....!? Sounds mad but if it's even vaguely plausible we should be going for him for a couple of years

Yeah, I saw an interview with him where he said he’d earned enough money and wanted to give something back to his boyhood club, and that he’d love to finish his career there.

He is, but surely he's got another couple of years in Europe/the top half left in him?
