Sancho? Christ no. We’ve got one disappointing winger in Bailey, let’s not get another.

Sancho is miles more talented than Bailey to be fair.

The thing is, I think Barnes would be the better option. He’s got a better goal contribution per game ratio despite being in a poorer performing team, has consistently been in the goals for several seasons, and would be a cheaper deal to put together, especially considering the wages Sancho is on.

I agree. I think the biggest thing that Barnes has over both Bailey and Sancho is that really occupies the opposition defender he’s up against. You know you’re in for a tough afternoon facing him. Sancho and Bailey are both players that might produce something now and again but won’t necessarily cause concern. We need more players that our opponents just don’t fancy playing against.

On the Saudi thing. I have a friend I met at uni who lived in Saudi Arabia when she was an early teenager due to her dad's job. She told me all her family including her then 11 year old brother were 'required' to attend a public execution once every six months or a year (I can't recall which). She was relieved they were only there for around a year so she only had to do it once. I don't whether this was a local thing or whether it's still a requirement for Westerners.
My Saudi experiences are 30 years old. Must have been a local/employer custom. My recollection is Westerners at executions was in some quarters frowned upon. I learned to avoid popping to the City square for a breakfast on a Friday morning.

I think there is potentially a really good player in Jadon Sancho.  He has only shown glimpses of it at Man Utd, but clearly he's not fancied by the current regime, who obviously didn't buy him.

If anyone could get a tune out of him, it's Emery, and I do think he has a much higher ceiling tha Bailey (even if their outputs in the premier league so far are comparible).  It's not like there isn't a precedent for Utd buying a young tricky forward and it not working out there before he goes on to be a proper force in the league (Zaha anyone?).  If Emery wants him, and the price is right, I'd be happy to see him here.  He'd be the best dribbler we've had since Jack left.

Sancho lacks that extra yard of pace.

I was the Dortmund Sancho not the Man U one. As ever what about his wages? If they are massive he'd be taking bandwidth which would be better spent on others. He's had time off last season and I hope we don't go for the name without doing full due diligence on him.

They massively overpaid for him, he's nothing special at all. Like Bailey, capable of a half decent dribble once every 5 or 6 games. Absolutely no thank you, he's done bugger all in two seasons and we need much better than over-hyped wingers. If even Emery can't get a consistent tune out of Bailey, then why would we bother with Sancho? We need more consistent goals from whoever is going to play with Watkins.

Messi has the right idea heading to Miami.

The Florida Governor seems to want the emulate Saudi in terms of rights

Sancho? No thanks. Could be worse we could be linked to that Anthony they’ve got up there.

In all seriousness being linked to all these either pie in the sky or potential signings is great. It’s not that long ago we were worried about going under as a club. Let’s enjoy it!

I see some nonsense on here, but comparing DeSantis with the house of Saud is worthy of some sort of prize for ridiculousness. Florida is one the most liberal places on the planet.

Seen £250k a week mooted in the press, non-starter if true. Looks like the Nico Williams rumours are hotting up, would be a lower fee and wage and hasn't already been shown to be rubbish in the Prem.

The 'benefit' of Sancho would be that he's English and we do need to keep an eye on how many English/home-grown players we have in the squad.

We had 8 in the list in January and  have lost Steer and Young leaving us with:
Martinez
Cash
Chambers
Konsa
Mings
Watkins

We'll add JJ Ramsey to that and maybe Archer (they both need to be registered next season I believe) but With Chambers possibly one to sell we'll need to add at least another player there.
