Tielemans appears to be signing or signed .

Based on my WhatsApp group erupting? Not sure of source, I shall await Percy

Some nobody on Twitter with a few hundred followers has said that he's signed a four year deal. I wouldn't be getting excited just yet.
Good. I can stop being totally disappointed.

Or perhaps a BBC period drama set in the 1920's with a very fruity if humourless leading lady, and her overly amiable father and rather rotund and straight-laced butler supporting.

He’s the softie at a Victorian public school who gets bullied by the Toffs.

Well if the last two pages doesn't make Dewsbury-Hall want to pull on the claret and blue...

Well you can agree anything before then, they just don't come into force. That Mac          Allister is supposed to be having a medical at Liverpool, for example.

Dewsbury-Hall sounds like somewhere you used to go on a school trip.
Yes indeed. Everytime I hear a commentator mention that name I think to myself "have I been there?"

I think it’s in Shropshire.

It's an estate in Sandwell. The council changed the name to it to make it more desirable.  Before it was called tatters end.

He is a good player and didn't get much playing time at Manchester City this season so maybe he would be up for a move.

However, centre back doesn't feel like the most essential part of the team to upgrade and at the £40 million being quoted would represent a significant chunk of our transfer budget for the summer you would imagine.

Unless we are willing to let one of our centre backs leave?

Too many links to centre backs for us not to be prioritising one. Laporte, Torres, Erickson (Fabrizio Romano) all linked last few days.

Strange as we are well sorted in that position. Does make me wonder if one of Mings / Konsa/ Chambers/ Costa is on the way out. Any two of that lot coming in would give us a very good set to pick from.

Maybe, as good as Mings and Konsa have been, he wants players with a different skill set. Maybe he is just ultra ruthless and wants to make them reserves by increasing the standard.

Whatever happens it is interesting.

I don't see it. Lazy journalism linking us with every 29 year old Spanish defender.

We will have more games next season so I can see a new CB coming in so that we have more options.

I'm not convinced that Carlos is going to be the player he was before his injury, so another CB makes sense if he isn't.

It was a bit tongue in cheek, what with Carlos and Moreno both being 29 when they joined us. We may as well set up a senior home of semi retired Spanish players (yes I know Carlos is Brazilian). You could well be right about Carlos but unless we're sitting on a very large pile of cash this summer spending £40m (Laporte) or €50m on Pau Torres of Villarreal seems a bit excessive.

I hope we still have money to buy a couple of top strikers, a defensive midfielder, a right back, a new number 10 so I don't have to listen to you slagging off Buendia every week  ;) and of course a goalkeeper who isn't called Olsen.

Sure Chambers will be moved on & Hause obviously….Feeney & Bogarde need to be out on loan so 4 centre halves of Torres, Mings, Carlos and Konsa seems pretty good to me
