Gregg Evans at The Athletic that we’ve made a move for Tielemans and that Unai wants a deal done “quickly”.

The Leicester fans seem to think he’s coming.

He looked brilliant for a couple of seasons. I’m not sure what went wrong with him last season? However you only have to look at the form of some of our own players under the wrong manager. McGinn in particular went to shit for some time and many of us were gutted to say he didn’t look good enough anymore, now look at him under Emery.

Tielemans looks to me like a perfect example of the sort of player Emery improves massively.

Yep I think he’d be a very good signing, particularly on a free.

I see he’s only 26, I thought he was older than that.

Sky saying Chelsea unlikely to go for Ugarte.  We have been linked.  Liverpool after other targets and don't seem to have lots of money.  Hopefully, we are interested.

What position does he play?

He seems to go up a level, then decides to down tools when he thinks he's outgrown his club to try and force a move away.

Happened at Monaco to get his Leicester move, happening again.

But it's probably going to be much easier to feel you've outgrown Leicester or Monaco than Villa.

At his best, he's as good as our other midfielders. At his worst he's keeping them focused due to the competition. And I can't imagine Emery will allow him to be the Tielemans of this season.

I think we’ll struggle to improve on any of our midfield four unless we get into the CL. 3 of them have the potential to be world class and McGinn’s looking better every game. We just need numbers and options at around the same level. Tielemens on a free looks ideal.

Tielmans could be another Barkley based on last 18 months.

That said he could have a great season, star at Euros and be worth 80m based on what he did before.

Its whether we take the punt. Totally sorr midfield if it came off mind.
And if he is cack we sell him for 15m next season.

And even then, this summer or next you'd think that Champions League clubs will be looking at the likes of Dougie and Kamara to upgrade their midfield if they carry on as they are, so it's hard to see how we buy improvements for them given they themselves would be improvements for clubs higher up than us.

He’s off to PSG isn’t he?
