We didn't agree to sell him.  The point you're missing is without the release clause we wouldn't have sold him.

This is it. They weren't 'milking' Man City - they were waiting until they had no choice.

If they lose both Kane and Loris they will have £140 million + to invest tin the transfer market, it will be interesting to see who they go for to replace those 2 players.

Given his age, the amount they'd get as a transfer fee for Lloris would be a rounding error.
And the fact that he's completely lost all form and no top tier club in their right mind would pay for him.

Ahh, okay. You could have mentioned that in your reply!

We don't know they wouldn't have sold him at all without the release clause if he wanted to go.

I wonder what would have happened without the release clause, I reckon the little shit would have thrown his toys out the pram and demanded the move.

With Grealish, he wanted to go, and there was a £100m buyout clause which if met, meant we couldn't have stopped him, which is obviously what happened.

It would have been interesting if there wasn't a buyout clause. My strong suspicion is he'd still have gone, and for more or less the same money.

Well we definitely wont be buying Tammy Abraham - picked up an injury in the last game of the season.

Still being linked with Vlahovic, that could be a decent signing.

He just wanted trophies to share on his Instagram page. ******

If those trophies are ever taken away, I'll be so happy I might actually die.

Without the buy out clause I suspect he wouldn’t have signed his last contract at all.

Vlahovic will likely move this summer but can’t see it being to a club who doesn’t have champions league, likely a statement signing by the new owners at ManYoo if the Glazers make a decision

If there is any sort of god please let Man City lose the Champions League final, I think I'd combust from laughing so hard. Their sense of entitlement is off the charts at the moment and they're just expecting to turn up and take home the Champions League trophy Guardiola is so desperate for. I want to see sad faces on the lot of them, especially Guardiola and Grealish.

Sure, but there are places that he could go that aren't "top tier clubs".

I fully expect a Kasper Schmeichel style "thanks for your service" and a rich team somewhere sunny bungs Spurs £2m.

If the above weren't there already, Lloris would be nailed on for Nice I reckon.

True.  And signing it inflated his value for us.  Same for Delph.

And we will be hailed as Caribou cup winners 2020 or 2021 (can’t remember)

But more to the point that was being made, I think this summer at least the owners would probably say to Martinez, sorry but you're not going anywhere this season.

Yeah it's time to get round the pentagram, slay the ritual sheep and summon the unquiet spirits of Helenio Herrera, Tarcisio Burgnich et al to help Inter nudge, barge, snip, dive, whinge, stab, and generally shithouse their way to a horrible 1-0. I'd cry with joy.
