Tielemans apparently down to 5/9 to join us in the betting.

Which obviously doesn't mean anything, but seems odd given there's barely been a link to him.

On news now (I know I shouldnt) it says Spurs are looking at Watkins with the comment.

"Although spurs finished below villa they have a better squad and will be chasing trophies"

Well at least one less than us - delusional wankers. When they lose Kane they will be a mid table team at best

If they lose both Kane and Loris they will have £140 million + to invest tin the transfer market, it will be interesting to see who they go for to replace those 2 players.

Is this the better squad that were 17 points ahead one third of the way through the season, yet still finished below us while we did the double over them?

Re Emi - talk today United will be giving De Gea a new deal and not spending big on a new keeper. Chelsea seem focussed on Onana. So not sure who else that leaves who could even remotely afford Emi............

I think if he did want to go, he'd see himself as having better options than Man U in his future.

I really do think he will give us the next season to see how we do. If we go backwards, I reckon he could look elsewhere. But if we keep progressing I can see him wanting to stick with us and win something.

If someone comes in for him, I think it will be the same as it was with that one who doesn't wash and went to a tin-pot club. They'll ask him if he wants to stay or go, and if he does want to go, they'll go and milk the buyers for all they're worth or no deal.

Who is ‘the one who doesn’t wash’?

If you're talking about Jack, that's not what happened at all.

Ah, now you mention it, I do remember the owners dragging him kicking and screaming into a van and rubbing their hands with glee!

They triggered a buy-out clause they shouldn't have known about but, somehow, shock, they did. At that point there's nothing the owners can do, it's contractual.

I really don't know what you can dispute about what I said.

Are you saying if he had wanted to stay, our owners would still have sold him?
Or that he didn't want to go?
Or that making them pay every penny of his £100m clause isn't getting everything we could for him?

We asked him if he wanted to stay or go. He said he wanted to go. We made them pay as much as we could!

It would be exactly the same with Martinez, release clause or not.

We didn't agree to sell him.  The point you're missing is without the release clause we wouldn't have sold him.

Given his age, the amount they'd get as a transfer fee for Lloris would be a rounding error.

So he’s not going anywhere soon
