This will play out exactly how the Joao Felix rumour played out in January

I thought the other day about that, we did have genuine interest there, Emery referenced the deal himself. I know Chelsea have been a disaster and the move hasn't worked, but I did wonder if we'd look again at it in the summer if we could get more favourable terms somehow.

I'm sure many will say 'nah, he was shit' but you could see the talent is in there and the manager obviously rates him and sees how he could be used.

I hope this is true. It would be signing up there with Boubacar Kamara. I agree with others that this would make people take notice.  I won’t get a chub too quickly though.

Nicolò Schira, I've no idea how legit he is:

I've heard the name before and he's got plenty of followers, but I'll wait for Fabrizio or John Percy before I get too excited.

Made me smile. https://twitter.com/ZamuhAdan/status/1663146899279314946

The tweeter's bio is quite something as well, just a shame the association isn't in Ghana or Gabon.

With all due respect to Kamara, Asensio is on a higher shelf at the supermarket. Kamara has been superb and was a highly rated prospect. This is buying or acquiring proven quality. Numerous Spanish caps and needs his own trophy room for the amount of hardware he’s won as a pro.

When I looked through the free transfer options a while back Asensio was the one that really stood out for me as both a big upgrade for us and probably just about gettable if we could get into Europe.

If we can get this one over the line early, along with Guendouzi for the £25m-ish that seems to be doing the rounds, we'd have a lot of money spare for the 1-2 really big signings we need to push us into challenging for the top 4.

Whilst I'd have no objection to Barnes I'd be surprised if we paid the English Premium after spending so much time and effort on the data analysis stuff.
I'd love it if we could put this in motion. If he can hold and give, but do it at the right time it doesn't matter if he is slow or fast, but he must get to the line because they'll always hit you and hurt you, defend and attack. I reckon he can probably beat them by getting round the back. I mean, catch him if you can because he's an England man, and what Emery is looking at is the master plan.

I think if we are pushing for an answer with PSG batting their wallets at him while playing coy, I reckon it could be a polite no.

But I like we are pushing for an answer so we can move on if it's a no, and not being prepared to wait all summer for him to get his makeup right.

We need a couple more players with 65 games to play next season.

Yep. That’s why we also need the loan kids to come back and prove themselves to the manager. They’ve all done well at their respective clubs but we need kids to add to the existing squad net of any departures, and then proper top quality in key spots and for depth to propel us forward again.

I think there will be quite a few where were used to try and move big clubs hands - and I think this will be one of those.

He can score goals from outside the box, we could really do with a player with that in his arsenal. Particularly as we get better and more teams park the bus.

PSG and Italian clubs interested. Can't see this one happening.

That’s shaken you I can tell. Believe in the power of Emery.
