Gnonto looks a phenomenon, I would take him in a heartbeat.

For Tammy, he's done very well at Roma and no doubt Emery could help him like he's helped Ollie. He isn't as quick as Ollie though, nor does he run at players with as much dynamism - he does a lot of back to goal work, which doesn't seem to be where we're going.

I'm not sure about Gnonto, he might become a very good player but right now he's one of a very long list of players with technical ability and pace but not enough end product. he is still very young so there's every chance he'll get better but I'm not sure he's close enough to be on our list this summer.

He's like 12 years old, if he had end product he'd be beyond Leeds' (our our) limits.

Yep, as I said, he'll get better but I don't think we need another young prospect to develop right now, with Archer, Duran and AJ Ramsey all looking for game time in attacking positions. We need someone who is a bit further along in their development really.

Olmo is another who just doesn't score/assist enough. With our shape we really need someone who can get into double figures from that 2nd striker role.

I know it's a nothing link that came from a podcast but Dybala would be perfect, someone like him who can play on his own or as a 2 and can drift deep and wide and be a creator as well as a scorer, asking for the world I know but having a truly world class player (or maybe 1 step down from that) in that Buendia/Bailey position is key to pushing on from the last 6 months.

I think Dybala wouldn't suit us.

He's not really dynamic enough, hasn't ever really been a player to thrive pressing from the front. He does pretty well for Mourinho, lurking around the halfway line when out Roma are defending and the 18-yard line when they're attacking, but the more proactive thing has never been his bag. Add into which I think he'd struggle to adapt to the concussive nature of the game in England.

Gnonto would be a great acquisition, even if it was only as an attacking option from the bench. He's like a younger Saint-Maximin, with that same sort of "frighten the life out of defenders" ability. The sort of player we thought we were getting with Bailey, but didn't.

Yeah maybe, I think he'd be a big upgrade on Buendia though. We'd lose some defensive effort but the extra attacking threat we'd get would make up for it. You might be right that the league would be a bit tough for him though.

Maybe Coutinho can be the player who fills that role for us or maybe Bailey can be but I don't think we can afford to rely on them so bringing someone in is the absolute priority for me and it needs to be someone who will push for double figures on goals and assists. We have plenty of players who can get 5-6 goals and assists over a season so we need someone who is clearly better than that.

He'd be an upgrade on Buendia when he gets the ball, but he'd get it a lot less often. Our system (and Emery's systems in general) carry no passengers - everyone has to contribute. I just can't help but feel that there's a better fit, maybe less spectacular but who'd definitely improve us where it counts.

The links to Nico Williams seemed quite strong, would he not be an option in the summer?

Just remembered when Paul Lambert said we need players like Lewis Holtby.

Not sure they were stronger than to anyone else we were randomly linked with.

A random journalist with no history of reporting on  Villa saying we were going to meet his buy-out clause but he didn't want to come.

Any nobody else picking up the story apart from the usual clickbait places.

Yeah Gnonto seems to have a sprinkling of X-factor. You sort of expect something to happen when he gets the ball, even when he's not really in form. A big player for the future.

Regarding Gnonto, he had a good game against us at Villa Park. But other than that it's a no thanks from me.

Tammy is a yes, you can never have too many good players but I doubt we'll be in for him.

We need first choice players for the following.
Two new attacking options, an attacking / creative midfielder & a right back. Don't know who they'll be but that lot will probably cost upwards of £130m.

Add in a few re-enforcements, back up keeper, young centre half, another back up midfielder & maybe some of those who've been on loan.

Sell or release Sanson, Olsen, Couthino, Dendonker, Chambers & Traore. I also think we'll cash in on Archer if we can get £20m+.

Don't suppose anyone would take back a cut price Chukwemenka?

Is this annoying you more than people still calling the PL "the Premiership"?  ;)
