We've done pretty ok since he got injured tbf. But we definitely need another option in that position

We have, but like having Ollie as our only real forward, it's not a long term sustainable strategy.

If we know anything at all this management team led by Emery is intensely focused on every aspect of the club and playing squad. Heavily relying on analytics to drive their decisions. They will also go into evaluation of the current squad during and come the end of the season, and will guide our recruitment philosophy and tactics. I can't imagine they will not look at Kamara's propensity to miss games, or Diego's almost season long absence as examples and think we can only go into next season without high quality reinforcements.

I'm slightly worried by Kamara's injuries this season, so another driving force in midfield is needed I think.

Physically he looks too lightweight for a modern day footballer, but then when you watch him play is doesn't seem any kind of an issue.
To be fair, I think most of the injuries have been from Bad tackles - I think the most recent one certainly was

Certainly that one was. It was fairly clear to me at the time he was instructed to get Kamara out of the game such was his influence. It’s the Viera way. Or rather, was.

At the time i thought the tackle was that bad it was a season killer for him. I also agree Guendouzi and him playing for the shirt certainly strenghtens us

I think I saw talks of a double swoop on Man City for Phillips and Walker.......

Ironically it was Man City last season with Haaland and Akanji.

Off the top of my head we got McCann and Sorensen around the same time from Sunderland.

Risso won't be happy if we sign Kalvin Phillips and Kaile Walker.

Nor would I. But there's always a lot of stupid shit written, and I highly doubt they are Emery players

The most stupid is that we're in for Maguire.

That was just Collymore saying Emery and Maguire would be a 'match made in heaven'.

I'm definitely not adverse to Maguire starting on Sunday, give him the chance to show Emery what he can do
