I think we will bring in two more. We cannot take a gamble on Ollie staying fit for the whole season and Duran and Cameron aren’t ready to cover a load of games. I think there might be a surprise sale as well but not sure who. Right back and another utility forward in, someone very much like a Brennan Johnson.

hasn't Dendonker been given compassionate (paternity) leave, rather than being left out for ulterior reasons ?

I suspect we need to trim the squad before we buy again. One in one out seems sensible now.

I think Emery / Monchi will see how the first few games go before dipping a toe back into the market

Doubt that’ll have a material influence. I suspect there plan is their plan and won’t be dictated by what happens in two games.

I know it's "only" the Conference but technically we still can't guarantee European football until the playoffs are done. Obviously the second leg is a day before the window closes, hopefully we won't be cutting it that fine, but as others have said there may be one or two more in the works that will go down to the wire for several reasons.

I'm more surprised that more haven't left to be honest. I'd be happy to keep most of the players that are still here, or the ones that have featured in preseason anyway, assuming they're all happy to play a specific role as part of the bigger plan.

Correct but don't think he's an Emery type player in any case. Competing with Kamara, Luiz, Tielemans, arguably McGinn for one of two spots.

Last he mentioned we still wanted Johnson from Forest. I don’t think we are done at all. I still think a forward comes in and even a winger. A lot will still happen between now and the deadline as players/agents/clubs all get a bit more anxious.

I suspect any delay at this point is on the other side not with us. So teams that won't sell until they have a replacement or players who are holding back to see hat other offers they get and/or if they can force their way back in at their current club and/or waiting to see what level of football is on offer where they are currently.

Look at people like Enrico Chiesa and Ferran Torres who aren't available to us today but might be in 2 weeks time and i think you're in the right area for where any remaining business will be. a 2nd keeper who becomes available after all the merry-go-round is complete seems possible as well.

How long does it take to recover from smoking yourself silly down the pub while the missus pushes out your co-creation?

Wetting the babys head can be the worst hangovers though, especially if its his first, its the end of Donks freedom and he may gone large.

Yes half a bottle of cask strength single malt and several large cigars does do some damage.

First world problem, but the window shutting the day after clubs discover whether they might have 10-15 extra games to play is bloody ridiculous.
